Im now using AOL IM. Say hello to Dhuge67 (my real life nickname), except n real life its just Dhuge, the 67 is my football #.

    To stay in touch with Aiers, real time. I also have a couple friends that live in seattle who I can now keep in touch with, without getting charged by the second.

    wait did you get "AOL" or do you use AIM? If it is the former, I pity you... Oh god I hate AOL... They wouldnt let me cancel my account when my cable modem came!! they just kept on giving me free months...!! <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughing]" />

    AOL really does suck, you're absolutely right. When we got our cable modems I told my dad we should get rid of AOL but he said no because he likes it so we pay for the Cable Modems and $9.95 for AOL's bring your own access plan.

    that is being changed to $15 a month



    macintosh-if you only are on AIM, then why dop you have an @aol.com email address in your sig? Who is your ISP?

    I heard it's only changing for new people who use that plan. For current memebers it's staying at $9.95.

    so if you currently use unlimited AOL ($22) and you switch, do you pay $10 or $15?



    Also I think that will change in a couple of months. I'm too lazy to dig up the MacNN article... Maybe later.

    If you currently use the regular $22 plan and switch then you pay $15, along with new members. If you're currently using the $10 plan then you continue to pay that price.

    ouch! that sucks for a lot of my friends who are switching to broadband are going to get screwed! I told them to get rid of aol... but they are lazy and really dont know how to do anything else.... I guess I cant blame them...

    Yeah it really does suck. It's just another reason to hate AOL.
