Ferrari also appear to have some 'manufacturing' issues:

Glad I didn't buy this model.

And, if I did, I'd take it back to the dealer in the morning.

His pressure was clearly extreme the questions would be how long would slight to moderate pressure impact the phone, say over 2 years. My only point was if you use light thin aluminum and then give it a large surface area it's fairly safe to say it could create a problem long term. The same conditions could apply to Samsung or any phone with a larger surface area. I would also be interested to see if a plastic shell would hold up better or worse.

Err... No. Melting point of aluminium: 660C. Your pocket: 37C.
Not neccesarily, it can soften or expand making it easier to bend, but pretty sure we've seen, it would need to be above 200` to make a difference.
Believe me... Samsung will have an ad comparing their curved phones to Apple's bending phones.
name a thing Samsung won't go after, so iPhone 5 was purple flare, 5S was something else, IOS 6 was apples maps, IOS 7 was it ugly, 8 will be copy of them, but bugged.

I can bend a fender on any car if I put a knee into it or hip check it.
    I'll bet $949.90 that my iPhone 6+ doesn't bend
Wanting to make that phone pay for itself? How about dividing that by 100,000 and then the deal will be made.

Accept that he released a 4" phone. LMAO! We was against smaller tablets and then ended up creating one. Steve was famous for being being flaky with his opinions. NEXT!
Your so out of date, Steve Jobs died day after iPhone 4S, iphone 5 was 11 months later, then another 13 months from that was IPad mini.

If you look at the two videos you will notice that in the iPhone bending case he put the force directly at the weakest point of the edge of the case at the volume switch, however on the Note 3 video the force is directed at the center of the back of the phone. Very unscientific and probably paid by Samsung.

The iPhone 4 and 4s had a 3.5 inch screen. It wasn't until the iPhone 5 the screen size increased. I won't LMAO at you for not knowing the facts.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPhone_4 ;

"The display of the iPhone 4 is manufactured by LG under an exclusive contract with Apple. It features an LED backlit TFT LCDcapacitive touchscreen with a pixel density of 326 pixels per inch (ppi) on a 3.5 in (8.9 cm) (diagonally measured), 960×640 display. Each pixel is 78 micrometers in width. The display has a contrast ratio of 800:1. The screen is marketed by Apple as the "Retina display", based on the assertion that a display of approximately 300 ppi at a distance of 305 millimetres (12 in) from one's eye, or 57 arcseconds per pixel[43] is the maximum amount of detail that the human retina can perceive.[44] With the iPhone expected to be used at a distance of about 12 inches from the eyes, a higher resolution would allegedly have no effect on the image's apparent quality as the maximum potential of the human eye has already been met."

If youve read my earlier posts I kept my phone in my pocket also and it did not bend. Ive already stated this. However, this bend issue has been ongoing since iPhone 5.
obviously it's a small number of people encountering this issue. If it was widespread no way would Apple be selling record numbers of iPhones. I've owned an iPhone 5 and 5s and never had bending issues. Neither have any of my family members or friends that I know of.

Lord, yes. There are so many bloody anti-Apple posters here and around the web, Samsung must've blown their entire marketing budget on an army of trolls.

    Wonderful!

No way am I getting a Plus! Why did Apple make it?

My next iPhone is now a 6 or a 5s.

I'm with the sorry band of Marvin and T.S. who say that the 5.5" shouldn’t exist.

To all the poor suckers who have ordered or bought a Plus: thank your lucky stars for warranties.

Do you fully comprehend how incredibly foolish you are?

    No, but you do.

i know when the 5 was released. You think just because he died before launch he didnt work on the product. LMAO! You need to learn a bit about how hardware and software are created.

and stats here show the 6 outselling the 6+ between 5:1-10:1:

It probably won't be long before they just discontinue the phablet model.

Availability in Dallas apple stores still have 6s. And have had them since launch. No 6+ at all since the opening bell. While I'm not claiming the 6+ is more popular- there absolutely were WAY less of them. Heck, just the preorders on apples stores have a 3-4x longer wait to get one.
If anything, demand for the 6+ is clearly higher. Will it outsell over the year? Time will tell. Don't use an underproduced first week to dictate failure. You're already sounding like the 5c doubters and it's only been 5 days
