Pray for Mickey Rehring.

Please put all of your opinions of me down and say a little prayer for Michael "Mickey" Rehring.



He came down with insulin dependant diabetes! he is my friend and teammate. He is a Division 1 football prospect, this could ruin him.



I feel so bad for him. I wouldnt want to have to stick a life saving needle into myself 3 times a day, everyday.



My dad is an unsulin dependant diabetic too, he got it when he was 28 though. My dad is setting up a meeting with Mickey and a Penn State football player who has diabetes but starts as an offensive lineman. Maybe Mickey will be encouraged by the fact that people do go on as normal with this disease. Its also good that he never knew my dad was a diabetic, someone he percieves as normal has his infliction.



Please just pray for him to cope with this new hurdle that he will have to jump everyday for the rest of his life.

    Whoah is Appplenut on an anal overdrive or something? Your not a mod so leave the decision up to them to move the thread. And if it is in the wrong forum that dosnt meen the message he is trying to say is dribble or shit. For god sakes man how could you say that to someone who could possibly go blind or die? Do you see a dieing person in the road and say "Who gives a shit about you, tough luck."?



    Sorry to hear about you freind coming down with diabetes. Hope he pulls through it, and that he goes all the way. Not much more one can say but to comfort him.

    strange how this said news had no affect on him while he made 6 pointless general discussion threads and then countless other dumb posts. he really seems brokened up and serious about it

    I'm not taking any sides but I was talking to him on AIM when he found out, so it was after all those things.

    EmAn...it's ok to pick sides on this...macintosh may be an obnoxious kid sometimes and he definetly posts way too many posts that really have no purpose than to make himself happy...but applenut is way off on this and may need to seek help for his repeated anger issues....g



    he hates macintosh, yet he reads all his posts...and answers most of them....oh well, these boards can make strange bedfellows and allow people to act in ways they never would in person....

    I'm not in the mood to take sides with this. Macintosh is right but I know that applenut just hates him and the way he posts and stuff.

    I still think its a bit cold to say "who gives a shit" about a serious medical condition. True, its in the wrong forum, let the mods fix that. But there is no need to get angry at the poor guy for trying to help out a friend.

    First and foremost, applenut, you were way out of line with your original comment. It's one thing to point out that this thread isn't in the appropriate forum, but it's another to use the language you did. Have a little respect.
