I've been doing the clean phone home screen for years now, i have access to all my main apps in the dock which can be accessed on every page, the second page on is full of apps, all organised.

Nice homescreen and wallpaper, Zozman. I like this idea, for a couple of years I've been arranging my apps to keep the focal point/main area of my wallpaper clear and visible. I'd definitely use this feature.

    Thank you :D

Something i really like about iOS 7 now 8, is the semi-transparencies, the wallpaper changes the colour of all the layers above it, its subtle but really nice.

I'd like to have the time displayed on the home page of my iPhone 6Plus. That way, I can strap it on my wrist parallel to my arm & have a functional, readable AppleWatch, locked in a landscape mode. Maybe Otterbox will create the, "Dick Tracy" harness to snap their phone into it, just like the holster. Then if you asked, I could give you the time of day.

I've been able to do this for a very long time.

    I got an idea!

Why not have an "app drawer" that you can hide all your apps inside of, then drag out just the ones you want on your home screen... even better yet, let you arrange them however and where ever you want, maybe even allow you to make as many screens and arrange them however you want also.

Oh wait... that's Android, IOS can't be like Android. Well I guess it can actually, it pretty much copied every android feature for the last 3 years, might as well throw this one in there too.

I love threads like this though, I love reading about how IOS users HATE! Android features, all of them, like cameras on tablets, or 7" tablets, or 5"+ phones, or quick settings, or notification drawer, nfc etc etc...

Then as soon as Apple decides to catch up, bang! All those "new" Android features are suddenly the beez knees! lol

I've been doing this since iOS 6.  And yes I have.  Additionally, if you don't want any pages on your phone, dump all the icons into 4 folders that make sense to you, and move them to the launchpad.  Easy peasy.

Me also, and this is exactly what I have, 4 folders in the tray with my everyday apps in them, everything else from Page 2 onwards.  I starting doing this last year with iOS7, so it's certainly not new in 8 and likely has been around for longer as you say.  It's nothing to do with minimalism, I like to look at the wallpaper I chose when I unlock my phone, and I change it a lot.  It's like having a picture of your kids in your wallet, sort of thing.

"bright white", "bright": That's a wallppaper change away on both iOS releases.
