Apple seeds second OS X 10.10 Yosemite, Xcode 6.1 golden master builds to developers
After issuing the second iOS 8.1 beta on Tuesday, Apple released updated golden master candidates for OS X 10.10 Yosemite and Xcode 6.1 to developers for testing ahead of an expected launch later this month.
The latest OS X Yosemite and Xcode 6.1 GMs come exactly one week after the first release candidates were seeded to developers. Golden master identifiers are usually reserved for final or near-final software versions, signifying Apple is about to announce public availability of its next-generation Mac operating system.
Today's Yosemite build is labeled 14A386a, compared to the initial GM candidate's 14A378a designation.
When it sees launch, OS X 10.10 Yosemite will bring a number of so-called Continuity features to the OS, allowing iOS device users to interact with Macs in new ways. For example, Macs will be able to tether with an iPhone to place and receive cellular voice calls, continue email conversations and perform other cross-platform operations.
Since the first Yosemite Developer Preview was issued in June, Apple has gone through a total of eight developer versions and four public beta releases.
Developers can download the latest OS X 10.10 Yosemite and Xcode 6.1 GMs through Apple's Developer Portal or the Mac App Store's Software Update mechanism.

Second GM. Why not just make more DPs? At least this should fix the Wi-Fi problems.
And maybe the problem with Safari not remembering my plugin blacklist settings.
Yosemite runs fine here as my main OS, although third-party mice still lead to disappearing cursors when switching from full-screen movies or games.
Eexperience tells me to hold off for first update before I install. History tells me I won't. Doh!
They could easily shove another one in on the 14th if the “release on the 20th” rumor is to be believed.
Throughout every single one of these, my widgets in Notification Center STILL RANDOMLY REORDER THEMSELVES, so I bet there’ll be another GM.
It’s safe to assume that Apple is running a final version of whatever software they’re making several weeks to a month before they release it to anyone else.
How else are they expected to put iOS 8 on enough iPhones before ship date?
Yeah that's true..
Hmm, since beta 1 I have been unable to use our internal SSL site. It never remembers that I saved my password in the keychain. Still doesn't. I even have an open ticket number and I've given them the requested information since beta 4.

Considering that this problem hasn't been fixed in the first GC, I am assuming they will only do it with 10.10.1...and yes, I also have the same issue with the weather widget.
Well they released a second candidate for a reason. Got to assume they fixed something.
I have been unable to Add my Canon i960 Printer, since Public Beta 1.
I provided the feedback.
Still not adding (on an a 2009 Mac Mini and 2012 iMac 27), even after this latest Public Beta.
I'm now thinking it has something to do, with the drivers "not being signed", to work/install under Yosemite.
My theory make sense or am I off?
PS.
Perhaps Canon just needs to update all their printer drivers, to work with Yosemite
Not really going to jump into this. If iOS8 is anything to go by Yosemite will need a bit of bedding in before I take the plunge.

New iOS releases have always been more buggy than new OSX releases. I've had zero issues with Mavericks since day 1.
Been running flawlessly for me on various Macs from a 2010 MBP, 2013 Mac mini running 10.10 server right up to to a nMP. Rest easy.

never happened to me once.
I've just loaded OS X 10.10 (14A386b) and have lost the preview on all my email in mail. The inboxes show there are unread email but the inbox says "No Message Selected". The most confusing part is this is on several types of accounts, Gmail, Exchange and iCloud. Has anyone else seen this?
