Start to finish, how long to make a DVD using iApps & SuperDrive?

I want to know how long the DVD process really takes. Please, only respond if you have actually done this.



(we won't include the editing process, since that varies wildly from project to project and person to person)
  • How long does it take to import 60min of DV from a camcorder into iMovie2?

  • How long does it take to export - using "export to iDVD" - 60min of DV from iMovie 2?

  • How long does it take to encode 60min in iDVD2?

  • How long to burn?

  • Are all these steps necessary?

    I don't know about all the iDVD stuff, but importing DV footage into iMovie2 is a 1:1 ratio + any time seeking from one location to another, etc.

    I just exported a 68 second movie from iMovie to iDVD's format in 70 seconds...so it's pretty close to real-time on my 2x1000 MHz machine.



    I don't know about the rest.
