Well the invitation says "It's been too long." but weather that's the logo, a iMac refresh or a Suprise we don't know. I doubt they would go 3D after iOS 7 and then 8 along with OS X Yosemite.
I don’t know. This seems WAY too ludicrous to ignore. What reason would there be to think anything about the logo unless something was happening to it?

Put in departure and arrival dates that can be saved so that when I login to southwest airlines' app or their website, it already knows what dates and times I want. Then when i check united airlines, i dont fill in all the same info again...

Itunes does one thing, pages does another, and then there is cloid which confuses things further. Sync your phone in a music app? And then sync your photos in another? But the go back to itunes to sync photos also? In this sense apple has lost its goddamn mind. Hire me for a day and i can come up with a better solution to this mess. Movies in my music app? I'm not a big iMac fan but wouldn't that negatively impact the speakers, speakers that people already complain about. Of course Apple could unbundle the speakers but then people would complain about that.
If we don't see a Mac mini refresh tomorrow does that mean Apple is giving up on the product?
I don't know. I would imagine that there are more than a few people at Apple pissed off with Intel as I suspect Apple really wanted Broadwell this year. Broadwell would make for a nice Mini not to mention the rumored but delayed 12" MacBook like machine.

This is a on going problem with Apple. Sadly you won't see real graphics muscle in an iMac because the platform can't handle it thermally. This is why I've supported the XMac concept for so long, which is basically a box with a decent desktop GPU. As the resolution goes up, the pathetic GPUs in an iMac will just look more rediculous.

Lossless audio would be nice. Speaking of loudness part of the problem on the iMac are the internal speakers. If Apple goes chinless they will likely need to give up on internal speakers.

I second that motion. I want to add meta data, keywords, phrases, and comments far easier and organic than you can now withinn the finder. I envision a merging of file manager and finder, with a quick key hub... maybe even as an expansion of Quick Look... say Ctrl-Space to bring up a a HUD to do this.

I'm looking forward to it. I didn't have the time to use the beta, so I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised when the release is out. I'm mostly looking forward to how they've reworked Spotlight. It is here that my wish for meta data browsing "should" come to life and if it's on Apple's radar.
Might that house a microphone or an extra speaker? There might be functionality in there too. And in terms of branding and aesthetics it sound like a pretty sweet move. Bring it on.
