    I don't see why not.

It's too easy to say, "This would never have happened if Steve Jobs was alive," as a knee jerk response, without giving the topic serious consideration.

"Man, you so dumb even sog35 can make a joke that's over yo' head."

Also, you deserve a scalding blast of contempt for your bendy-phone comment just above. I wish I knew where you take your rhumba lessons . . .

A '3D-like etched logo' would go great with a 3D display.  Just sayin...

This looks like a rather more thought-out implementation.

I've never in my life seen a more committed troll than you, the lowest of the low. Still beating a dead horse, even when it's been shown that the horse never existed. You do know that even anti-Apple sites are admitting this was a sham now, right? Pathetic is an understatement.

Your stupidity, and utter lack of self-awareness and irony is off the charts. Are you pretending you don't make that assertion in half your posts? How many times have you been called out on dragging SJ from his grave in order to speak for him, state what he wouldn't do, and bash Cook? His post was mocking people like you. Absolutely incredible. I'm starting to think you're nothing but joke character, with the IQ of a gnat.

Well the invitation says "It's been too long." but weather that's the logo, a iMac refresh or a Suprise we don't know. I doubt they would go 3D after iOS 7 and then 8 along with OS X Yosemite.

I don’t know. This seems WAY too ludicrous to ignore. What reason would there be to think anything about the logo unless something was happening to it?

Really? Obsessing over the most expensive and single most iconic logo ever created in the history of human civilization other than the “heart”? Yeah, I could see that pretty easily.

Macs need a better convergence between mobile and desktop... Simply continuing an email where you left off... Who really does this and who cares?

Example of what I want to see:

Lets say i want to plan a trip: a trip planning app by apple would help. Put in departure and arrival dates that can be saved so that when I login to southwest airlines' app or their website, it already knows what dates and times I want. Then when i check united airlines, i dont fill in all the same info again...

Small but subtle smart integration is what will set apart Apple from Google or Microsoft.

    wishlist:
    1. a screen with Almost no bezel would look great, I agree with another poster that the "chin" needs to go.
    2. Serious graphics processing muscle.
    3. Even more simplification of operating system elements. "Quit", "force quit", what is all this nonsense?
    4. The file system for apple is still crazy. Itunes does one thing, pages does another, and then there is cloid which confuses things further. Sync your phone in a music app? And then sync your photos in another? But the go back to itunes to sync photos also? In this sense apple has lost its goddamn mind. Hire me for a day and i can come up with a better solution to this mess. Movies in my music app? Itunes is a swiss army knife nuisance imo.
    5. Lossless audio with recording studio standards for dynamic range, loudness, etc.
    6. Stop allowing subfolders in the "applications" section ... Its annoying as hell. Adobe is one comoany guilty of this nonsense.

I think that a unified system of data management for all file types is needed. I do agree with apple that the "file" concept feels rudimentary but at least it works. We need a better way than what apple has now... The finder feels clumsy and stupid with useless features and options and seems to fall short when you want to move a file from one place to another with ease. Airdrop is quite simply broken and doesnt work or at best is unpredictable.

Itunes practically is the finder for movies, music, etc. why not just merge all of its important management features INTO the finder and simply be done with it? This way when you delete a song... You are actually deleting it? The file naming system and music tagging can be wrapped into one coherent system as well.

I am an apple fanboi but I am no longer able to continue to support the embarrasingly slow fixes for OsX. Yosemite better be ... Better. There are COUNTLESS other design flaws and issues that I cant even list them.

The only thing that would impress me would be a curved LED Retina iMac with Broadwell. A higher rez screen and a 3D logo isn't enough to make me open my wallet.

Sigh. They didn't mean to bend the iPhone 6 Plus. Don't get your hopes up on more bent displays.

I'd love to see an iMac without a chin. I don't expect it tomorrow but one can dream, right?
I'm not a big iMac fan but wouldn't that negatively impact the speakers, speakers that people already complain about. Of course Apple could unbundle the speakers but then people would complain about that.

If we don't see a Mac mini refresh tomorrow does that mean Apple is giving up on the product?

I don't know. I would imagine that there are more than a few people at Apple pissed off with Intel as I suspect Apple really wanted Broadwell this year. Broadwell would make for a nice Mini not to mention the rumored but delayed 12" MacBook like machine.

    It is a start.

There are dozens of web sites that do that. Somethings are really the domain of specialist.

Small but subtle smart integration is what will set apart Apple from Google or Microsoft.

    wishlist:
    1. a screen with Almost no bezel would look great, I agree with another poster that the "chin" needs to go.
    2. Serious graphics processing muscle.
This is a on going problem with Apple. Sadly you won't see real graphics muscle in an iMac because the platform can't handle it thermally. This is why I've supported the XMac concept for so long, which is basically a box with a decent desktop GPU. As the resolution goes up, the pathetic GPUs in an iMac will just look more rediculous.
    3. Even more simplification of operating system elements. "Quit", "force quit", what is all this nonsense?
Really if you don't understand it don't use it. Force quit is very handy if you run lots of beta software????????.
    4. The file system for apple is still crazy. Itunes does one thing, pages does another, and then there is cloid which confuses things further. Sync your phone in a music app? And then sync your photos in another? But the go back to itunes to sync photos also? In this sense apple has lost its goddamn mind. Well this I agree with in the sense that iTunes is a mess.
    5. Lossless audio with recording studio standards for dynamic range, loudness, etc.
Lossless audio would be nice. Speaking of loudness part of the problem on the iMac are the internal speakers. If Apple goes chinless they will likely need to give up on internal speakers.
    6. Stop allowing subfolders in the "applications" section ... Its annoying as hell. Adobe is one comoany guilty of this nonsense.
Why would you want to do that. Sub folders are very useful for grouping like or related apps together.
I think that a unified system of data management for all file types is needed.
    Like the finder?
I do agree with apple that the "file" concept feels rudimentary but at least it works. We need a better way than what apple has now... The finder feels clumsy and stupid with useless features and options and seems to fall short when you want to move a file from one place to another with ease. Airdrop is quite simply broken and doesnt work or at best is unpredictable.
The Finder needs improvements however Apple has to balance that against the reality that a lot of people don't understand file managers and file systems at all. It would be nice if there was a "power user" switch in the Finder that advance users could turn on.
Itunes practically is the finder for movies, music, etc. why not just merge all of its important management features INTO the finder and simply be done with it? This way when you delete a song... You are actually deleting it? The file naming system and music tagging can be wrapped into one coherent system as well.
Honestly that sounds ugly, this especially knowing what iTunes has decayed into.
I am an apple fanboi but I am no longer able to continue to support the embarrasingly slow fixes for OsX. Yosemite better be ... Better. There are COUNTLESS other design flaws and issues that I cant even list them.
You should file comments and bug reports as the case warrants. Apple does read these things contrary to popular belief. The better you can construct a report or request the more likely it will be considered. However some of your ideas don't have a chance in hell if you ask me. I can't ever see them moving iTunes functionality to Finder for example.

As for Yosemite, well it is better than iOS 8????????????. I'm actually happy with some of the improvements. Given that I'm not seeing a lot of improvements in the areas where you are concerned.

I second that motion. I want to add meta data, keywords, phrases, and comments far easier and organic than you can now withinn the finder. I envision a merging of file manager and finder, with a quick key hub... maybe even as an expansion of Quick Look... say Ctrl-Space to bring up a a HUD to do this.

He'll get nowhere in life with his aggressive attitude, that's for sure. I'll give him (or her) the benefit of the doubt that English is not *it's* native language(?)
I can't ever see them moving iTunes functionality to Finder for example.

I believe it's doable, but as a hybrid between file manager and finder. My point above.

I'm looking forward to it. I didn't have the time to use the beta, so I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised when the release is out. I'm mostly looking forward to how they've reworked Spotlight. It is here that my wish for meta data browsing "should" come to life and if it's on Apple's radar.

    Nice reply to bazar BTW!

Might that house a microphone or an extra speaker? There might be functionality in there too. And in terms of branding and aesthetics it sound like a pretty sweet move. Bring it on.

I don't know what they did under the hood, but there are cosmetic changes, nice ones.

    And the prefs changed:

    10.9:
    1000

    10.10:
    10001000
