Will never happen. If you actually sit down and think about it for a few min, and how iOS and iDevices work, you will begin to realize all the complications and issues.

- What about backups? Every iOS Device is automatically and fully backed up to the cloud. Backing up and restoring multiple profiles will add so many more layers of confusion and complexity.
- User management? Is one user an "admin", and others not? Privileges? Who gets to delete accounts? What about activation lock? Find my phone? Every single aspect of the OS, security, and privacy will need to be rethought. And for what? Making the OS much more complex because of a niche desire?
What I DO think Apple should add is a "guest" mode, where with one tap you can go to a "stock" iOS Device containing the built in apps, and where all data is deleted when you log out. Perfect when you need to lend your iPad etc to someone for a bit and dont want the risk of them perusing all your personal data. Especially since now, texts and phone calls will also be all available.
So that whole IBM alliance thing was just a publicity stunt and won't actually produce any business orientated apps. Multi profiles are also very useful to a household that can't afford an iPad for everyone in it. How about separating you work from your home life, your pervy porno life from your father of the year Christin life, there are lots of reasons why a system that can handle multiple profiles is useful and frankly it's ridiculous that Apple hasn't implemented this feature.
'Multi profile introduce an extraordinary amount of complexity to the current IOS ecosystem (someone actually listed the amount of change that would be needed). Why would business apps need different profiles on their devices? They're probably logged in a server somewhere and the business APP (could be done by IBM) gives access to the data it needs through the login credentials.

A network login still requires a profile of some sort on the device, without one the responsibility of authentication falls on the app which is an absolutely sloppy way of doing things. Can you imaging having to login into every app that utilizes a network for it's information. No the authentication would have to been done once upon login into the iPad and for that, you need profiles.
This type of leak would have never happened with Steve Jobs.
Actually, it did happen with Steve Jobs. They published "too good to be true" specs for a mac pro in their store just days before the unveiling of the new model.
I believe this leak was on purpose. With the obvious stuff out of the way, they can spend more time talking about the exciting updates. Whatever those might be.
