Apple adds Office Depot, others to growing list of retailers who've pledged support for ApplePay
With Apple's announcement that its NFC-based Apple Pay service will launch in the U.S. on Monday, Oct. 20, AppleInsider has rounded up a list of establishments at which consumers will be able to test out the new mobile payment platform.
Apple says that more than 220,000 locations around the country will accept Apple Pay, though it remains unclear how many of those will be configured for the service on Monday. The company's partners run the gamut of national retailers, from fast food chains to office supply stores and pet shops

So, is Chevron/Texaco for pay at the pump, or just the convenience store?
I hope Costco gets onboard soon now that Apple and Costco are friends again.
Rubbish.

Mastercard will roll-out credit cards with an embedded fingerprint scanner?? Yup, and supposedly no bigger than current cards :err:

They are wide open for abuse. Haven't you been listening to the news , millions of credit and debit cards are skimmed everyday
Making blanket statements like that is simply stupid
Doesn't matter if Mythbusters couldn't make it blow up. Cell phones are not intrinsically safe. You can get them but their cost is prohibitive to most people. The fact they are not intrinsically safe would lead the local Fuel Safety Authority to prohibit their use. Whether or not anyone can actually get it to explode really doesn't matter. If their is a risk, they won't allow they're use. Maybe it's like the phone on an airplane thing.

People aren’t intrinsically safe. Ban people. Or just ban stupid restrictions when proof has been given otherwise.
It appears that you copied the "not intrinsically safe" drivel from the link that you posted. Your link offers nothing in the way of facts or references - merely one writer's opinion, which carries about as much weight as your opinion. Meanwhile, see the authoritative, fact-based links below:

In your case, however, it may be especially dangerous for you to have your cell phone with you around a gas pump, especially if it were tucked in your back pocket. If you slipped and fell, it might get lodged in your rectum.
I hope so. They're pretty prickly about their credit card partnership.
