Smart move. Most likely realized he would be blasted by fanboys if anything played was perceived as negative even if true. Plus look at Tom Hanks as Walt Disney- film biographies of industrial icons rarely ever work
Steve and Steve's Excellent Adventure.
It should be a comedy.
No point in doing another serious movie.
Woz travels back in time to correct a bug in the Apple 1 that leads to world war 3. Young Woz should be played by Zach Galifinakis.
I'd almost rather this movie just not happen, Issacsons book is drek.
I thought it was a great book. Contemporary biographies aren't exactly literature, but I found the book insightful, informative, and very readable. Having said that, I think there is a fair chance any movie treatment of it will suck, so I'm fine if it never gets made.

Except nearly every conclusion Issacson draws is incorrect. It's a hatchet job. This can be emphasized by the number of Steve's friends and acquaintences that say the book is crap.
Bradley Cooper works though he is a bit histrionic as an actor...extrapolating from American Hustle. Too bad... Christian Bale is the master of the weight fluctuation roles.
I have to say Ashton Kutchner did not suck as Jobs. He did much better that thr critics gave him credit.

Maybe he just didn't like the script?
Probably more the money end
Ashton Kutcher is available.
Daniel Day-Lewis
Noah Wyle
Serkis has just come from playing Caesar in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (which I quite enjoyed) so are you saying Woz looks like an ape?
????
Baled out, eh?
Maybe he just didn't like the script?
Or the director.
Or do a Ken Burns documentary.
Ashton Kutcher is available.
I thought he wasn't bad at all in his SJ role. Some portions of it were quite convincing.

There's also Jake Gyllenhaal:

Liam Neeson (why get Batman/Affleck when you can get the guy who taught Batman everything he knows):

Not a lot of options really. Rogen as Woz, backup Jobs, 2016 release, script about 3 launch events, maybe they should just call it off.

Why focus on the Mac, NeXT and the iPod only?

I'll say Matthew McConaughey for Jobs and Jared Leto for Wozniak.
