Until this past holiday quarter (I'm calling it a win for Apple), Apple hadn't ever been the world's largest smartphone vendor by unit shares, except for this sole quarter back in 2011. Even more impressive is they not only didn't have to drop prices to compete at the low-end, but instead increased their ARP.
