Higher resolution, new wider gamut inks (including dual black tones for B&W), full-bleed...it's going to be nice, assuming they were smart enough to test these inks more thoroughly than the last batch.

When this printer was discussed in Future Hardware, several posts made me think this model would print directly on CD's. Epson's press release does not mention this. Perhaps two different models became confused in the other thread and their features combined.

I doubt it's designed for any non-paper medium. You without a doubt will be able ot use all of Epson's premium papers, their office papers, and probably things like vellum as well.

    That's a different series. I believe it's a 950 or 4000 Series printer in the UK.

If the model introduced in the UK is the same, it does offer printing on CD's. The model number there is 2100, however, and the US version is 2200. The other features are the same, so I am assuming its the same printer. Anyone know for sure?<a href="http://www.epson.co.uk/product/printers/photo/styphoto2100/index.htm"; target="_blank">Epson UK</a>
