Did they release storage specs? How many apps will it hold? How many mp3s will it hold? How many photos will it hold?

So thick; I couldn't bear to wear one. It would constantly catch on cuff links.

What absurd nonsense. Typical. Evidently you haven't seen the sort of men's watches that are very popular today.

Good, don't wear one. Enjoy your cuff links. Just please quit your troll moaning and find a new hobby.

...only an extra $2,000.00? Why don't you check your numbers at Apple.com before you publish? Starting price of Apple Watch Edition is $10,000.00 and it goes up from there.

Reading comprehension fail. The 42mm Edition costs an extra $2000 over the 38mm Edition.

The trend today, is, indeed, for giant watches. I've never seen one that makes a man look anything other than ludicrous.

Did anyone think to pull the bands off and look for the rumored diagnostic port?

I wasn't there but I did notice this in one of their videos...

I'm good with the Sport, Watch and band costs for those but I just checked out the bands on the Edition... the leather classic buckle bands cost $3000 over the sport band!!! The Grey modern buckle cost $7000 over the sport band!!!

HOW MUCH GOLD IS IN THESE BUCKLES???

If this proves anything, it is Apple pricing the Edition at what the luxury market will bear rather than anything related to cost. I am sure they know their benchmarks and comparators. At those levels, I'm not sure people will buy fewer Rolexes... they'll probably just add an Apple Watch to their collection and keep it charged, like the Rolexes sit in the $10000 winders!

If you have to ask, you can't afford it.

I was expecting at least 4GB but 8GB is nice. 2GiB of music more than enough for most uses with BT headphones.

What I don't get is the limitation to 75MiB for photos. What not simply 100MiB? What's the reasoning there. Surely it's not because there wasn't enough room to allocate another 25MiB. I wonder if that total is an approximation for a set number of photos after they are reduced for ?Watch. For example, reducing to an average of 0.75MiB is a good for both viewing and performance on the ?Watch display which gives allows you a maximum of 100 photos in its library.

Hum. Interesting. Hard to exactly see what is depicted. Clearly the back of the watch, so the circular cut out has to be the light sensor array. The little oblong holes are the band retention buttons. But there's something...in the slots?

To me it looks like the 6 pins for the "diagnostic" port that have been mentioned.

No, because I'll buy the SS version. $600 with rubber band is ridiculous imo. Slashing the price? Well, iPhone 1 reminds you anything? And over the years, Macbooks too.

If you watch the video for the gold watch you'll find out that it's made with a solid ingot of 18k hardened gold. The required pattern is milled from it. This is not a gold plated case. The strap is fine leather and the buckles are also hardened 18k gold. You won't find this version in an Apple Store. It will be sold in high end retailers along with other luxury watches. I suspect that some of them will be given as gifts to Apple Corporate friends like CEOs and celebrities. This is not a smart watch, it's a luxury time piece. It's what sets Apple above the competition.

Please Mr Cook - DON'T let Victoria 'The Designer' Beckham ever design anything for Apple Watch.

Apple has created a watch that will appeal to a wide range of their customers. From the average consumer to the middle executive to wealthy. It also happens to have all these great features that make it greater with the iPhone. It's beyond smartphone. Developers have already been writing useful apps to make it greater. Not everyone will want one but Apple is going to sell a shitload of them!

This might be a wait until next year type of thing for the thinner/faster/etc one

The larger one  is smaller than my Casio G-shock currently on my wrist. I've read it's about as thick as a Swatch, within 0.5 mm of a Rolex.
