Both Apple and Samsung have appeals still to be ruled on, and since the initial case there's been quite a bit in the way of asserted patent claims being found invalid anyway, thus likely not infringed. It's entirely possible the entire case will be overturned, requiring a new trial. It may be mid-year before the Appeals Court finally decides who's right and who's wrong.
By the time the ruling is final I'd guess that Samsung might actually be found liable for less than $500M, perhaps far less.
Wait a minute! This 30% decline is Samsung 6th consecutive quarter of declining sales. So the year ago quarter that it was compared to, was the second quarter of declining sales. And we're suppose to believe that somehow Samsung sales is improving because it's not declining as much as the last quarter. Which was compared to the first quarter of declining sales a year ago. But suppose last year second quarter of decline was a lot worse than the first quarter of decline. Then a 30% decline this quarter could be worse than the 36% decline last quarter. I'm pretty sure that when the coming quarter that gets compared to year ago quarter, that took the 60% nose dive, that even a 10% decline would not be good news.

I hate external drives that have software pre-installed. I have a USB stick like that. It has several .exe files along with a couple directories that cannot be deleted, even after a format.
Actually, it is possible to erase such partition in the pendrive. But you have to flash it. I have done it. Google for it and be prepared to find pages in Chinese and Russian. Good luck.
In other news, the S6 has scored a repairability score of 3/10 from iFixit while the iPhone 6 had 7/10.
They called the phone a "nightmare" to attempt to repair, even opening it without damaging something an impossibility. What happened to the days of iPhones being the worst to repair? More evidence that Apple considers ALL aspects to some degree, even the niche ones like internal layout, while Samsung has sacrificed everything in order to get to their form factor.

Sadly, they're still beating the snot out of the other Android OEMs. Samsung's current slide is a perfect opportunity for one of them to create a compelling device, and take the number 2 spot, but I doubt that'll happen.

Motorola is creating some pretty compelling smartphones and with truly useful and innovative features rather than fluff, otherwise staying pretty true to stock Android. They may yet surprise.
