Once and for all...
...Apple ain't dying. You would think that a company would circle their wagons and hunker down. But no. Apple has again aquired another company to further their growth. This one being a video tilting software company Prismo Graphics.
As one person there posted:
"These days it seems barely a week or two passes before I'm reading about how Apple is buying yet another small but important tech company in order to incorporate their technology in future versions of OS X or in future Macs (or otherwise, such as iPod stuff, etc.). I think that, combined with the consistent profitability of the company, would be enough to make the non-Mac world think "hmm, maybe they're NOT dying after all!" It's sad when a Mac user gets infected by MS/Intel propaganda. Although It is also possible that I am infected by Apple propaganda, in which case he is right, but, no, he can't be.
I must destroy all those who bash Apple, and more importantly Defend the Mac!
But wait if it's really the Mac i like, why has it changed and is really now a NeXt machine? Wait so the Mac only exists now as a memory... Wait is it possible that this Mac I remember and loved doesn't even exist any more...

That's not it. He somehow feels personally injured through Apple's struggles, and has decided to bit the hand that obviously feeds him.
He's just looking to make waves. But honestly, if there's one place no one cares to hear it, it's here. He would get more of the reaction he's looking for if he headed over to MacNN or MacAddict with his act. In the meantime, it's just an inconvenience to skip a few lines of each thread. Sad.
If Apple does go out of business or is snatched up, then life shall go on. Life and the world might be a little dimmer, but it shall continue. I don't think Nostradamus can imagine that. He's too emotionally dependent on the fruit company.

I am not selling until it hits 40, which then I will sell half of my stock, so that I may make the money I invested back!
Regarding hardward, don't you think Jobs would just love to have a killer system that Intel systems couldn't touch? Shure he would. But he can't outrun the reality of what he has to work with. I think the hardest thing is learning to be patient. Maybe a lot of disappointment helps, if it doesn't get turned into cynicism or bitterness.
Now, who thinks Jobs is stupid? I for one do not believe he would be buying up these companies unless he was sure there would be hardware to run their software on. Look how long it took for something like an Xserve to come out. When condidtions were right, they did it. How many were saying there should be a good server, for how long? It did finally come. It will be that way in high end video too. Apple will have the systems to make it shine. How long did it take Final Cut Pro to come out after they bought the original developers? A while. How long will it take the high end video product(s)? A while. And within that while, we will finally get worthy high end Macintoshes.

I'm not entirely sure why I'm wasting my time responding to you... my best guess is sheer curiosity. Almost all of your posts, replies or threads spout negativity towards Apple or the Macintosh... which you have every right to do, as far as I can see. What really puzzles me, is why you BOTHER partaking in "discussion" (if you call it that) that is geared towards the Mac (or Apple) when you are such a "nay-sayer" of this non-Wintel world...?
Why would you waste YOUR time intentionally being a thorn in the side of people who prefer to discuss "all-things-Apple"...? If you spent any amount of time here with an objective stance, you'd see that this collection of people runs the gammut of die-hard fanatics to jaded skeptics that hold little hope... but underlying it all is a respect and admiration of what is (or was, in some views) Apple Computer and it's products.
Would an athiest intentionally hang-out in a group of fanatic Cristians...? Would a Kawasaki owner choose to try to ride with a pack of Harley-D riders uninvited...? I just don't understand the "antagonistic" mentality of your interactions here... If you dislike Apple so much... why waste ANY more time visiting Mac-based forums...? What's the use...? If you think you're "educating" us by spouting negative drivle... you are wrong... if you think your opinion(s) are respected here after biased verbal attacks about the very subject(s) we have come together to discuss... you really don't have a clue.
Yep... you have every "right" to post here... just as I have every "right" to continually repeat to a total stranger: "I'm not touching you... I'm not touching you... I'm not touching you..." while pointing my finger within inches of them. Both are technically not doing anything wrong... but both are also childish and pointless.
So... what is your problem with Apple and/or Apple users that it consumes so much of your time...?

Yeah, Apple's not dead yet. With such a hard-core user base, I don't see it dying any time soon either. It may shrink, but it won't die.
Besides, who would Microsoft steal their ideas from if Apple wasn't around?

I believe that some, in these forums, have been disapointed a lot by Apple, and they have grown cynical, maybe even a little bitter. I was asking him to clarify why he lurks here and spews-out so much negativity... Like I said numerous times... he has every RIGHT to do so... I just wanted to know what his "personal" problem with Apple was... that's all.
I never said that I was mad at him or that it bothered me "so much"... and yes his post THIS TIME was very short... as they usually are... but read through all his replies and posts (at least the ones I'VE read) and short or not, they're just anti-Apple and antagonistic.
More power to him... it's easy enough for me to ignore him... no big deal... just curious to his motives. That's all.
Regarding the actual thread topic...? I'm not even remotely worried about the demise of Apple any time soon. It's just so easy to sit-back and make "pedictions" (shyah!) of what you "think" may happen... but bottom line, it is in my opinion that they know what they're doing, where they're headed and how best to get there.
