What company has more loyal fans than Apple?

It's not secret that Apple's legion of fans and Steve Jobs' so called Reality Distortion Field is probably unrivalled by any other tech company.

However, I can't even think of any company, whose customers are that loyal and seem to hang on Steve Jobs' every word.

Nike has a cult like status but Phil Knight is certainly no Jobs. Plus no one spends hours on a Nike Forum to discuss what the next shoe will be.

Can anyone else think of a corporation with a greater following than Apple?

    Obviously.

But that's not what I asked.

I'm asking about loyalty, passion and downright fanaticism.

Keyword. Loyal. Answer. Nobody. Apple's the closest you can be to religious but still go to hell.

I would say that a more important question is whether you can post to AI from hell.

Does it have to be a tech company? If not thats an easy one. JEEP........"ITS A JEEP THING". Whoever owns a Jeep Wrangler understands this.

People that own classic cars. If you own, let's say a '57 Bel Air, chances are that you are also a Chevy nut.

I wouldn't consider Dell as to having Loyal fans, PC Users go with what ever has the best deal at the time... so PC users are only loyal in till a better option comes out. Apple owners stay with Apple no matter what.

Somehow I can't see a member of the Hells Angels logging on to a Harley Insider chat forum.

Actually, the diversity of Harley owners is quite surprising.

The only other one I can think of is Audi (and BMW). Both are passionate about their brand and if you ever doubt it, check out Audiworld.com.

Because I own one myself, I often visit and post to this forum. Audi owners are almost as picky as Apple ones, demanding certain things be done a certain way. The parallel I see is that both companies strive for excellence in design.

I remember an article that found that product people held the most loyalty in their household to (i.e. sticking to just one certain brand), was deoderant.

veedub owners post on message boards too. Ever go to a water-cooled vw gathering? Its just a bunch of people in a parking lot showing off their water-cooled vw's. hah. Although there is the occassional "hottest vw girl" contest.

heheh, probably. what kind of vw do you own? it sounds silly, but when we can afford it, my girlfriend and i are going to get two bugs, one green (for her) and one navy (for me). my bro drives around an A3 body style white jetta (can't remember the year for sure) and it sure is zippy compared to my giant 93 chevy lumina
