People who say the bill should be repealed haven't said where the billions of dollars necessary to do that will come from. I am not claiming that there are not some problems, but the Act is very beneficial to most Americans. Regarding specific problems, there is a provision within the Act where an oversight committee will address any issues and attempt to resolve them. Repealing the entire Act is absurd.

Well you'd have a better idea of  Fox News content than I would.  I don't get my political news from righty or lefty outlets like Fox or NYT, nor am I invested in their partisan feuds over tabloid entertainment-news.  Nice try though, Team R wants to keep the same Obamacare law that you do.

1000+ pages?  Me no, I couldn't get past page 30 or so.  Thats partly because of how poorly it is written, by its design to be misleading, and because a serious lack of luster after President Obama broke his promises to make it available to the public before signing.  This law was not meant to be read, it was meant as obfuscation for more graft by those in political parties.  It doesn't even do anything to make medical care costs more affordable, all it does is make questionable, mandatory insurance schemes more affordable than breaking a new, totally unjust law.

That doesn't sound like good for most Americans.  I know several people who have recently lost their jobs who now can't afford medical insurance much less the steep penalties (going up again next year) for not having a medical 'insurance'.  Anyone without medical insurance, regardless of whether they need it or could manage better without it, now face severe tax penalties.  That's totally cruel, backwards and horrible.  You should be ashamed of yourself for promoting such suffering under the guise of charity, you disgrace and harm both those in need and now those who aren't.  Doesn't matter if the intentions were good, the resulting action is atrocious.

I never said anything about a repeal.  If I had a solution it would probably involve encouraging peaceful civil disobedience and interference.  I trust people more than government, and I think things like 1000+ page bills that are dishonestly and deliberately hidden from the public to prevent any discourse are very bad things and symptoms of a much larger problem.  Political teams, including your precious D's have demonstrated that they don't trust us, why should we trust them?  Again, I think 'faith' in government is still just superstition, and that kind of backward thinking is the only importance to Democrats and Republican.

I believe Mr Bush has left out the part where the people in this wonderful service where they are tracking your blood sugar so they can help you with your diabetes are actually EMPLOYEES OF YOUR HEALTH CARE PROVIDER. Which if you aren't insured, it is just not gonna be happening. Woof!

It was then signed into law by a democratically-elected president (who won election with the largest number of popular votes in history, and totally rocked the Electoral College against McCain/Palin) and was upheld by the Supreme Court (which declared - in John Roberts formulation that the mandate was a tax). You can debate the quality of the bill, but you can’t seriously argue that it wasn’t enacted through established American democratic norms.

WTF?  I never even remotely claimed it wasn't passed by the government?  Do you even read?  It should be pretty clear that I think you are idiot if you're Republican or Democrat, because D & R's are constantly doing stupid and horrible things in the name of thier fabricated dichotomy.  I think the only cover they have for their actions is pointing at each other and pretending there are only two sides to only their defined problems.  Without that distraction, their actions are completely inexcusable and reprehensible.  Thanks for helping prove my point, tho.  :smokey:

    Baloney.

I'm not a Republican, but the ACA wasn't voted on by any Republicans. Democrats, led by Harry Reid, changed the rules for the vote and pushed it through approving the beast without debate or even allowing time to read it. Surely, this hasn't already been forgotten?

When the law went to the Supreme Court, Roberts said the law was not legal as written UNLESS applied as a TAX. Well, the law wasn't written to be applied as a tax, and it wan't re-written and sent back through as required, it was just applied AS IS and magically declared a tax because they said it "was" a tax. This isn't how America works, even in it's current state. Everyone involved in this farce should have been arrested.

    You’re completely and utterly delusional.

Said literally no one in any of those categories, ever. Try again.

Do you have healthcare insurance? If so, is it private insurance?

The man said with all we now know, he would STILL had made the biggest blunder in American history and invaded Iraq.

..and now this? The man is as big a moron as his brother.

Most people, including myself, who had private insurance before now have more expensive insurance with less coverage. The Affordable Care Act is awful. The proof is already out there the law is doing the exact opposite of what Obama was claiming, that insurance would be more affordable. Fact is insurance premiums have gone up in the majority of  states. 13 states, premiums have gone up by 50%. Another bad thing with this law is deductibles have skyrocketed for millions of people. Just look at the polls of who favor this law. They keep getting lower and lower. Last Gallup poll I saw at the end of 2014, only 37% of Americans favor Obamacare. Go ahead and continue drinking your Obama Kool-aid.

You do realize that you don't have to buy your insurance on the exchange. You can still deal directly with insurance companies and buy your own plan.

    This article is pretty stupid.

It's obvious that Mr. Bush was simply throwing a jab at the governments hostile takeover of health care that no one voted for.

He's not doing an apples to apples comparison.

    My God.

Anything to tar and feather the guy eh?

Making yourself look ignorant in the process.

    Sheesh.

People who already had insurance by and large saw a drastic increase in their coverage cost. The system as it has been implemented, relies on the majority of health insurance holders (with the exception of administration-friendly union buddies) to unfairly shoulder the burden of costs for the rest. I understand either this year or next year, those costs will be adjusted again, most likely drastically upward due to more people going on the government's plan.

There are ways of legally getting out of the system, however:

Jeb is right!!! Just wait until the Apple Watch surgery and dental cleaning apps are released!

I thought Jeb was the "smart one" in the family? What does that say about the rest of them?

I guess it's all relative- Jeb is probably BRILLIANT to Republicans! LOL

I remember one of their "alternatives" to the ACA involved paying doctors with chickens:no:

The congressional record shows that 39 Republican senators and 178 represenitatives voted against the bill. I guess you really meant to say that no Republicans voted for the bill, instead of they did not vote on the bill.

The republicans play at being against Socialism, but they haven't had any votes to repeal Jeb's Medicare Advantage programs or the Medicare drug coverages (Parts C and D).   Let alone vote for the repeal of the real socialism that we have in this country Medicare and Social Security because too many of their voters are over 65.    They only propose cut backs that take effect on those retiring in 10 years or more.   Its the current retirees who created and benefited from it the most and should share in any sacrifice.

He's already Flip-Flopped on invading Iraq faster than John Kerry.   He probably meant that he wants to invade or bomb Iran.

That's what all the Republicans except Rand Paul want.

    Invading Iraq created ISIS, moron.
