New Finder window driving me nuts / Spaces
I used to be able to create a new finder window in any space, FOR THAT PARTICULAR SPACE, just by right clicking the finder icon and selecting 'new finder window' however now it keeps all the finder windows in a single space. If i select a new finder window in another space the window shows up only in the finder space. This new functionality blows.
Anyone know how i can fix this?

Do you have (Finder icon in the Dock) Options/Assign To/This Desktop selected? It should be None.
DUDE! Thank you. That has been annoying the crap out of me.

I don't see "Options" in the Finder dock icon menu. What am I missing?
Oh, maybe it changed for 10.11. Hang on, let me see.
Nope; same as 10.10. You don’t see this?
I got the same
No.
Ah, you may just not have Spaces turned on (meaning you only have the one desktop active). I bet that’s it.

Well that just shows that even after all this time I did not understand that a maximized application is not a real space, even though it looks like one in Mission Control. So yes - I only had one Desktop space. Thanks.
