I don't see how Apple getting into the carrier business makes sense.

Can someone who thinks so shed some light on this idea?

Now dropped below 3%... The alleged connection to Apple is the Greek stock market "bloodbath" in progress, so it's just wholly irrational panic selling.

Just here to remind Sog that he has promised to self-ban for a year if AAPL fails to hit $150 by year end...

Except it doesn't look like other big name tech stocks are panicking. And Microsoft is in the DOW too.

and if it does reach $150?  Are you banning yourself for 1 year?

As an added bonus I'll tell exactly when I think this will hit $150.

We will continue to see weakness in August and the first half of Sept.  We could see $115 or lower.

Mid point Sept we will see the release of the 6S and that should give the stock a nice jump to $120+

Oct we can possibly see clues regarding iPad Pro and AppleTV.  Another jump to $128+

Late Oct we see release of earnings and THE KEY WILL BE GUIDANCE FOR Q1.  I'M PREDICTING THAT THE GUIDANCE WILL SHOW REVENUE/PROFIT GROWTH OF 15-20% YoY.  That is much higher than Wall Streets expectations of 5-8% growth.  That will be the ultimate stimulis that will move this stock to $150.  But not all at once.  We close Oct at a new ATH of $137.

Nov we get the release of the new iPad Pro and AppleTV.  Move up to $145 area.

    Mid/Late Dec we breach $150.

$150 is not going to happen this year. Just deal with it.

If governments would stay out of it Apple could probably buy every single one of them, maybe even throw Google in as a bonus, and still have some cash left over. Cut out everyone who won't use an Apple device.

Charming mixture of peevishness and fear.

Of course I'm not volunteering to self-ban. You're the one who made the bet voluntarily, dude. <img class=" src="http://forums-files.appleinsider.com/images/smilies//lol.gif" />

Name them. Who are these alleged John Galt acolytes who lord their power and influence over the American people. LOL!

Wow, you're really unfamiliary with the degree to which corporations own the electoral system and write the laws, aren't you.

Oh well, enjoy your latest Koch nominee.

Couldn't be that LACK of government action (in the form of preventing telecom monopolies) is the real problem, and that they should be instead regulated as utilities, huh?

    What a stupid idea.

I love Apple, but that's scary. I would not want that.

Forget it. Apple had their chance back when they declined to buy all the spectrum they could ever want at auction several years ago.
They could have owned the the cell-waves, the same way they could have owned the automobile market if they had just bought the bankrupt Big Three.

Then these Wall street mofo's said the Watch did not matter since it was such a small percentage of revenue?

But then when it did not sell to their expectations all of a sudden it was such a big deal?

bottom line is these mutherfukers will do anything to manipulate the stock price so they can make $

There is no way to please the Wall Street jackass manipulators.   Because these are the same manipulators who are shorting the stock, getting kick backs from Apple's competitors, or are selling call options.

Either you beleive in Apple long term ( 5-10 years ) or you don't.  If you don't you should sell your shares.  If you do then flucuations in share price should not bother you.  Look at Apple's 5, 10, and 15 year returns.

You might get banned for using those words. I've been banned before for using a word that was also in an AI article *facepalm*

I'll bite. You're on. $150 by year end or self ban.
