I just made up the 36. It could well still be 56 for all I know.  :D

So the Note 5 is basically just a jumbo sized S6.

"...we're reemphasizing our commitment to bold, fearless innovation that meets the needs of our consumers."

    .

Haha. By "bold, fearless innovation" I think he meant "blatant, shameless copying".

Honest question - what does the Note 5 have in terms of upgrades/features/design above the Note 4?

    "...bold, fearless innovation..."

I'd comment on this, if I could stop laughing.

Since there is no SD slot the least they could have done is offer a 128 gig option for these new phones. Especially for the Note 5 which is arguably the power users choice.

At least they didn't mess with that world class screen. That screen is possibly the best reason to consider either of these phones.

EDIT: I stand corrected. Samsung does offer a 128 gig model for the new flagships: http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones/all-products

Apple has little to worry about, as long as Samsung thinks this is a muscle car war of bright shiny objects.

    Confusing memory with storage space.

Software runs in RAM. The Samsung software takes up over half of the allocated RAM in the phone. His statement made perfect sense.

    Yup.  Pretty lame IMO.

Even though i hate Samsung I kinda had some respect for the Note because it was totally of the wall.  When it came out there were no phone like it.  But now they are simply following Apple's 6/6+ model.  Sad.

It looked exactly like an iPhone but okay.

Pathetic that the largest memory size is 64GB

IMO, Samsung has made a HUGE error by:

    1. getting rid of the easily swap battery
    2. getting rid of SD card slot
    3. getting rid of water proof

Those were the 3 things that made the Galaxy/Note different from the iPhone.

Now the only thing different is the lame curve screen and stylus.
Apple don't need those. That's why Samsung want to prove they're capable to do the same or better, but... Well failed.

This is a really tiresome meme.  Samsung have been using Plus with various models since at least the S2 and probably before.  They really should pare down the range of phones they make, it's utterly bewildering and confusing.  They should have 6 phone models at most, not 36.

Let's be honest, shall we? Yes, it was last used in 2013 by Samsung, but it was conveniently revived years later in the very next product cycle after Apple used it. That is not coincidence. That's tiresome copying.

Yeah. "Fearless" seemed like a funny adjective to use with regard to innovation, but in the context of what they seem to think "innovation" means, it makes more sense.

    Apple uses "iPhone 6 Plus"

    Samsung uses "Galaxy S6 edge+"

Crazy expensive.  We will see massive discounts once the iPhone6S comes out.

Why Samsung makes much less money than Apple with comparable pricing model?

I'm not a fan of Samsung at all, but one cool thing you can do with the Edge phones is plug them into an Occulus Rift. The phone is the display for the headset. A buddy of mine got the headset a few weeks ago - it's pretty badass. Hopefully that functionality will come to iPhone at some point.

Samsung and Oculus have close ties.  Beyond GearVR, the Oculus Rift DK2 actually used the display from a Note 3.
