You actually believe Google ! Fascinating IMHO Google has been caught red handed lying before so where do you get your credibility from exactly?

Yeah! Because once a liar always a liar!

Like ever since my Mom asked, "Did you eat the dog's food?" and I replied, "No".... it's been downhill fast into the Chronic Liar's Basement of Hell and all of it's attendant consequences!

    Woof! Woof!

"But but but we don't know what Apple is doing with your information" is FUD. Why don't you defend Apple against FUD?

You think there's some lack of assistance here?

As for myself I think I do remember stepping in a couple of times when inexplicably IMO no one else chimed in right away. I've not seen any Apple FUD that hangs around here long so I think we all have it covered.

No need. As soon as anyone breathes a word against Google, you're in there like a ferret up a trouser leg. ;)

I'm Shocked! Shocked! You mean Apple isn't going to allow Google to harvest health data to sell to advertisers? Shocked

Apple didn't block anything -- it's the devs decisions on whether to integrate with HK. and users can set granular permission on whether they want an app to be able to read out HK data, as opposed to just writing into it.

This is so that google can data mine your health information and also track where you run and such with the various android wear device. I would not surprise me that google will with watches as they did with Waze. Waze now place ad on the nav screen of Waze base on your current location. It tries to send get you to drive or walk to the advertises business. Image the watch ping you as you walk or drive by a store and google placing and ad on your watch. I does do it today, but it is coming you can trust this is the direction Google is heading.

He was being sarcastic, you miss it. His point is actuate though, Apple will not all any app to use data in health app to sell that information to advertisers thus the reason google want you to use their health database, verse apple's

The OP was talking about Apple FUD. That's taken care of here as soon as it starts. Google FUD on the other hand. . .

Mention Google here and you and others are there like a ferret up a trouser leg. (Oh sorry, new cliche needed) like rats up a sewer pipe.(edit: don't like that one either) faster than a rabbit.(nah) like ticks on a dog.

-interest or participation in adult activities (including alcohol, gambling, adult dating, pornography, etc.)

-sexual behavior or orientation, such as sexual orientation inferred from a user's visit to a particular website

-racial or ethnic information, such as from sites or apps that collect affirmative racial or ethnic identification from visitors

I am not sure why you seem to believe what Google says. I have a simple rule is never believe what someone says (for various reasons) just look at what they do, actions tell you far more than their words. This is like you saying Google does not read corporate emails and I have examples where they do.

Yeah they post this kinds of things what they say does not preclude them from mining this information and using it for their own purpose. They may not say Gatorguy is gay and like gay porn and give it to various advertisers, but they can use this information to direct you to things which may interesting you, grant they are not going to send you to gay porn sites but you may find that gay based website tend to fall in the top of the list.

I give you an real world example, the one I bolded, my wife was doing research on a medial issue for my daughter and after doing the research google made the connection to her and then we began seeing ads related to this research prior to this never saw the stuff before. They did not sell or give those sites her information but they did try making money off know what she was looking at.

Google walks a very fine legal line, yeah they do not say to advertise who I am, but they say they know someone who is like me. So legally they did not share my personal information connected to me specifically but they still used it to their benefit.

Go here and sign out of Google ads then. It's not hard.

You may still see some but at least the targeted ones won't be from Google. You can also sign out of their cookie tracking altogether if you like.

You act like you have no choice in the matter. You'd think with all the smart folks here someone could have told you how to do it if you couldn't find it for yourself. Instead it's complain.

Perhaps in return you could take a little time to tell some of the fine folks here how to opt-out of some of the other 70+ trackers you might see here at AI that aren't Google. Little Snitch and Ghostery are pretty good, tho sometimes a tad inconvenient when you really do want to see certain things on a webpage. But they don't block everything or always tell you all you need to know to make an informed decision on what to allow and what to block.

I was going to ask how old Rayz was since I haven't heard that phrase since reading about Tarbabies and Briar Rabbit many decades ago :D

Gotta say: that's a pretty darn tight argument you got going there, almost as tight as ..............(?)

I love being able to use my phone with my Moto 360 and it doesn't bother me that HealthKit doesn't work with my watch. It's not that big of a deal. HealthKit isn't even that great. It still feels like a "me too" feature. Just MY opinion.
