No way they make a less expensive gold watch.

Only way they do this is if they cancel the 18k gold watch.  They will not sell a solid 18k gold watch for $10k and a gold plated or anodized watch for less than $1k.  No way on earth.

They won't make 2 watches that look identical and have identical internals and have a price difference of $9k between them.

Concur. They might offer some other metal that looks much different. Perhaps Ti.

Do they come out with the subdued versions of gold on a new Watch similar to the gold on iPhone? Then they can simultaneously debut a subdued rose gold Watch to go along with a rumored subdued rose gold iPhone? Then those purchasing can at least match their gold iPad, iPhone, and ? Watch and possibly their rose gold iPhone and rose gold ? Watch.

Obviously I meant the Apple wireless keyboard is the only current Apple-built iPad keyboard. Clearly there are many of options out there, some of which I have personally reviewed for this site. I have a Brydge Air that I really like, though it does make the iPad considerably thicker and heavier.

Yes I recall the review. I chose the Logitech for the price, aesthetics, and thin and light design. But it wasn't particularly well made. The magnetic hinge on the keyboard eventually failed--the hinge had a few pins which slid out and the hinge was no longer attached the keyboard. The keyboard still works, but I have to carry it separately. I can't recommend it, but for anyone who uses an iPad for work, it's invaluable.

I was just commenting that I didn't think it was fair to slam the iPad as a product for not including an integrated keyboard when the iPad has supported Bluetooth keyboards from the beginning for anyone that wanted to do a lot of text input.

The Apple Watch's ancient spiritual ancestor, the Pulsar LED watches from the 1970s, were offered in stainless steel, 14 kt gold-filled, and 18 kt solid gold. Apple hasn't done that middle tier. A gold-filled Apple Watch would probably be under $3,000. (Gold-filled means there is measurable gold weight on top of the base metal, unlike gold plating which is just enough to give it color.)

So much for lowered expectations. Now if even one of these things isn't announced it will be considered an epic fail by wall st.

Well PED thinks the larger venue is so Apple can throw a Taylor Swift concert for Apple employees. He claims there is no evidence more journalists than usual got invites to the event so thinks the additional space is for Apple employees.

Not sure this is all "breaking" but ok. I have to imagine that they will update the keyboard for the Apple TV and/or iPad along with needing an update for iMac and Mac Mini.

I can see this is as quite a plausible explanation.

I have no doubt that it'll drive more than a few here bonkers.

Except they had to recall all of them because the electronics were too fragile. There are virtually no surviving, working P1s. The P2 was the first based on a single chip and mass produced, and its stainless steel and 18 kt gold models were priced very similarly to the Apple Watch and Apple Watch Edition adjusted for inflation. A gold-filled option is something Apple could consider for customers who would pay for more than the Apple Watch but not the Edition.

Blech. If Apple is going to have a musical guest get someone better than that. But if Eddy Cue is deciding than I won't be surprised if we get some top 40 crap.

This phone looks very pink. I hope 9to5Mac is right and it is rose gold like Apple Watch which would be more copper than pink.

Oh, you're being too harsh. While I am not a Swift fan by any stretch, it's not a bad marketing tool to get some younger people interested in Apple Music (which, at least amongst my two teen kids and their circle of friends, is a complete unknown). Couldn't hurt with media attention either.

Yes, that's right. There is a substantial population who will not wear silver jewelry or accessories, and $10K is far too steep an entry price for them. If Apple fails to address this market, then they are leaving money on the table.

They can easily offer 18kt solid gold watches, with custom bands and accents, and sell a gold-filled, or even Vermeil standard Watch ... I could see Ive going for that as a compromise. It will likely be a different color gold than he Edition, as well as having the standard watch bands. This will not upset the crowd that's shelling out $10K plus, not only for the satisfaction of solid gold, but also the Limited and therefore exclusive nature of it. The anodized gold Sport Watch is a given regardless. It certainly does not compete with the Edition.
