I think you didn't read my post carefully. I did not say that iLife and Siri for Windows will help sell more Macs. I said it will help sell more AppleTVs.

You may be confusing it with my separate point about Bootcamp and Mac OS.

This is what you wrote: iLife and Siri will become compatible with Windows as well.

Perhaps it's worded confusingly. In any case, they won't be compatible with Windows. It won't sell more apple tvs or macs.

All joking aside, I do wonder how negative and positive memories are stored. Some people seemingly only focus on the negative and others seemingly on the positive, but I'd say that most of us remember both good and bad, but that this can sway heavily to one side depending on a particular event or incident type.

    PS: [@]BobSchlob[/@] isn't a troll.

Yes, I didn't mean to imply that he was a troll. I was making a joke about troll behavior in general. I considered calling the hypothetical anti-Apple region of the brain the "Applegate Cortex," (for its ability to remember -gates related to Apple) but I didn't think it was funny enough. I'm not neuroscience geek, but what science literature I've read, the brain organizes information of value automatically for easier recall when you sleep/dream, so if you frequently troll and say negative things about Apple, you'll train your mind to retain a list of events or news relative to that skill (i.e., trolling). There isn't really a special anti-Apple part of the brain, but in general, trolling is just like any other skill your brain can learn and get better at, and facts of an embarrassing nature to Apple would automatically be considered noteworthy (and therefore high value) by such brains and be organized for quick recall later.

In that image ... The colors emanating from the margins of the logo ... I think they may very well hint to new iPhone colors options, in addition to silver, gold, and space gray. The colors on the left, perhaps for the budget offering, either as a 4" aluminum model, very similar to the iPod Touch design. The colors on the right, maybe color additions to the current white/silver, black/gray, and white/gold, the new colors with white bezels in iPhone 6(s) form factor.

Am I crazy, or are there like 3 or 4 posters on AI who just think everybody else is a Troll?
Really hard (for me) to suss it out. :???:

Basically it is an AI requirement, if you disagree with anyone, they are a troll

If the Apple TV gets app store apps = Plex!

    That would make my year.

I would like to be able to pause the stream. Any hints? Is it possible on an iPad? I've tried VLC on the Mac with some success.

    Thanks,

    Daniel

Would Plex mean you can have a video NAS located in your home the Apple TV can play from? And if so what file formats can Plex stream to your TV?

Well whatever specs they announce I'll be ready to upgrade all my latest Apple products which as my wife says to our kids "Daddy likes to celebrate Christmas in September".

Just wished they had more products to release besides the Phone, TV, & iPad Air (Pro). I know they just released the watch & I don't expect any major upgrades on the MacBook or Pro & Air, but it would be nice to have an excuse to upgrade my 1st gen watch hehehehe....

Ever since Apple opened up the event to non Apple customers I have had issues watching the stream. It takes a few refreshes to start, regularly goes black but keeps the sound so I have to refresh it a load to carry on watching. I normally end up flicking between iMac, iPad and AppleTV just to watch the event. For the previous 2 I have eventually given up and watched it when it was available on repeat.

That's one of the genius features of Plex media server; it transcodes on the fly, so whatever fileformat works!

Yes, if by "finally" you mean Microsoft has created a modern HTML5 standards-based web browser for Windows and given up on Internet Exploder.

Well... there is already available Safari browser on Windows, and Chrome should be very HTML5 friendly... and QuickTime is also available on Windows, right?

I'd be surprised if this cannot be enabled to Windows 7 and 8.1 users, too. Even if there are requirements, like installing QT and specific browser.

I don't know. I'm wondering if Apple is not considering if Windows 10 might increase Windows users' interest in Windows Phone and tablets, now with "same" platform, tighter integration, unified Store... so they are doing a bit of preemptive work here. I'm not saying that W10 will indeed help increase WPhone market share, but every wise leadership should be attentive rather than arrogant - we all remember what arrogance did to then-leading smartphone/PDA platforms when first iPhone was released (and widely dismissed as niche by likes of Steve Balmer).

So is this different for every event, or will this streaming address work today?

It's the same stream, it was just way for other systems to get it when it was supported.

That was for that year. This year isn't working for IE and Chrome, too?
