Who's still using OS 8 or 9 + Desktop

I figure there have to be a number of people out there using OS 9 rather than that OS X thing everyone is talking about. So who else uses OS 9 and why? Also, post your OS 9 desktop! I would post mine, but i'm on my Windows machine at work.

Oh, I'm using OS 9 because I'm too scared to put OS X on my Beige 300mhz G3. Also, I love the functionality of 9. I *might* upgrade once 10.2 comes out.

I'm still using OS 8.6 on my desktop. I can put up with that because my iBook runs OS X. I'm determined to wait for the G5 before getting a new desktop. As far as what my desktop picture is, it's an attractive American flag.

Still got 9 running on my pismo. Too lazy/cheap/broke to add enough ram to make X bearable.

I'm still on 9.1 because I am too afraid to ruin the "harmony" I have on my BW350, and it might tie my old machine in knots. Plus I am too cheap right now, even if the first 2 reasons didn't apply.

OS 9.1....reason, PowerMac 7100. I'm just waiting for the new PowerMacs to get released and then I'm going OS X all the way.

OS 9.1 on iMacDV400, OS X on iBook. Running 9.1 until I get my new iMac 17". I'm waiting for one more upgrade (133 bus, 64mb video) and then I'm all X!

Well, my beige G3 is my OS 9 machine. I'm gonna tweak it with a G4, overclock, add a hard drive, etc.

But OS 9 is dead. LONG LIVE X!

Yup, still using 9.2. on my dual 1ghz. I know, most people think that's nuts... This may sound crazy but my biggest reason is that Quickeys on OSX just plain sucks! I've got tons of them and some are pretty complex that save me a ton of time doing every day production. Well, there's no way to import them into the 10 version and rebuilding them is going to be a horrible project. Some of them I don't think there's a even a way to build them. If anyone has had a better experience with QuicKeys, I'd like to hear from them. Is there an alternative for 10? I know that Applescript can probably do a lot of what I want but QKeys was perfect before...

I'm tired of software makers sticking some glassy looking buttons on an interface and saying it's "a new verions just for OSX!"

Anyone remember Kai Krause? That man was GOD when it came to interface design. Where did he go???

Anyway, I'll probably switch to 10 when Jag comes out. I'll still have to use 9.0 occasionally for things like Quark and some oldies but goodies that I have laying around.

Still using 9.1 on my 9500/200 cos its about as high as i can go! I don't see myself buying a new machine for home until apple has a decent powermac (ie a pentium killer) and so X will just have to wait. I have X at work and hate it. The number of times I have to revert to the command line just to sort out priveliges or some other quirk that the GUi seems unable to cope with.
