I'm looking for a digital camera in the price range of around $200. I know that isn't amazing but we all can't use the sexy ones I get to work with at work (ahhhh...*drueling*) Can anyone suggest some around that price that work with OS X and I can use my 160MB Kodak Card with?

Define 'Future Hardware' okay? Oh and here is a big hint... it's not your OWN personal 'Future Hardware'...

I have an HP 318xi that I am quite happy with. Look around a little bit, you should be able to find one for $150.

You know, Jamie, this thread should really be in Digital Hub, as Eugene pointed out, or in Genius Bar. General Discussion is certainly not appropriate for camera advice, unless you're trying to change the way things have been done in the past. [Edit: I guess the powers that be changed GD to include purchasing advice. Makes no sense to me, but makes my criticism of Jamie unfounded. Oh well...]
ast3r3x: At $200, you'll probably have to choose between a fixed lens/2MP camera and one that has an optical zoom but only 1MP. I don't think either compromise is worth your time, unless you will be shooting exclusively for the web use. I would have a close look at the Canon PowerShot A40 with 3x optical zoom and 2MP. At $250 it's slightly above your price range, but I think it's more than worth the additional money.

I'm just doing what I'm told and that is: "purchasing advice goes in General Discussion".
Feel free to criticize any time though, you too Eugene.

HP 318xi?
A200? (S200 is out of my price range...i'm a cheap bastard)
A40?
I can afford all of these and they all have nice features. Which would provide the best features and picture quaity?

Out of those three, I would go with the A40. I would avoid HP cameras and the A200 has no optical zoom.

I second Eugene's opinion. My A20, which is the precursor of the A40, takes excellent picture right out of the box. The A40 further improves on that by adding movie mode and a few other snazzy features. The A40 is the only realtivey inexpensive camera that isn't crippled in any way.
Didn't mean to criticize your following Admin directions, Jamie. We simply shouldn't shoot/blame the messenger.

and "off-topic". . .this moderator-correct, proper-forum stuff is ridiculous. I mean, isn't this a silly little web site with folks posting about computers and like-minded stuff . . . the seriousness with which folks care about repetitious forum threads, appropriate categories, is goofy . . . I mean, I thought Mac users were all thrilled that they weren't up-tight pricks (a la Windows users).
And by the way, who's the jackass that decided this is General Discussion? Talk about splitting the most ephemeral of hairs . . . and Jamie, this isn't an attack on you, after all, you're only following orders.
