Actually, Gateway had the guts in the base/'floating LCD' concept before Apple. Look at the Profile 2, it doesn't 'look' that great, and the execution isn't anywhere near as good, but the general concepts are all there well before Apple applied them! <a href="http://www.reviewboard.com/Section/Notebooks/341"; target="_blank">Check it out here.</a>

This time around Gateway may be quite free to get surprisingly close to the look and feel of the iMac.

This just might be more than a case of marketing hype.

I hope they put a lot of pressure on Apple to lower the iMac's prices.

Why would gateway want to copy the imac?? In case you haven't noticed imac sales are dismal!! The last thing gateway needs is to produce a pc that sells as bad as the imac!!! The all in one computer is played out!!!! But then again how many idiots would pay $1800 for a computer with a 100mhz bus and pc 100 memory!!! What a joke!!!!
