76. Consistant interface accross most apps

    Examples:

    1) in windows there are about 3 or 4 different save dialogs.

    2) in windows there are many different print dialog windows.

    3) many window programs don't use the same shortcut key combinations and many don't use any at all.

    4) many windows programs still don't support drag and drop!

    77. When you do an install, you can still do other things.

    Examples:

    1) most installs on windows will take up the whole screen and not let you do anything during it and will require at least 1 restart in between each install. ex. VS.Net: I had to restart the computer 6 times to install VS.Net and all its components on WinNT.

    2) I installed Quicktime 6, Mac OS X.1.5, realplayer beta and something else all at the same time and only restarted once ( probably not that smart, but it worked fine ).

    78. The mac is much more intuitive to do everything. You don't have to know hidden key combinations or right click on everything to figure out how to do something.

    79. Closing a window does not kill the application.

    80. IE isn't built into the OS so if IE crashes, the whole OS doesn't freeze ( this really does happen to me pretty often on Win2k ).

    81. No MS creating their own 'standards' to screw up the true standards.

    82. Most programs for mac are much less intrusive than windows programs. For example, Aimster for mac is/was a simple app that allows you to download music. Aimster for windows takes over your system putting icons everywhere and always running as a service.

    I will think of more.

edit: renumbered my reasons because I took too long.

You mac people got to be kidding! Your top of the line powermac runs at a gig with pc 133memory a 133system bus and cost $3000!! That's right 3grand for hardware thats dated by 3 yrs! You would have to sell a pc with these specs for $500 if you could sell it at all!! Now lets talk about the imac! A cpu running at 800mhz with pc 100 memory with a system bus running at 100mhz, at what price? $1800! Thats right ladies and gentlemen i said $1800! You would have to give away a pc with these hardware specs! You certainly couldn't sell it!!! You would have to be an idiot to pay these kind of prices for dated hardware like this! Yet you mac people go out and pay for this kind of junk! And you mac people got the gaul to knock windows for their activation policy! You can't even see that you live in a proprietary world locked in a niche market! You have to pay whatever price apple decides to charge! You have to take whatever dated boards, memory, cpu, case, limited software apple decides to put out! Then ya pay the outrages prices! In case you haven't noticed your all brainwashed!! Ive done something no mac person can ever do ! What you ask? I built my own pc, put the best parts available in it, which will blow the doors off of any mac anytime, anywhere running any software! for half the price of the so called top of the line power mac! Why can i do this and you mac people can't? Because apple controls every aspect of the mac, from software to hardware, never would apple ever let mac people build their own computer! Then apple wouldn't get all the money! That's why apple killed the clones! Apple couldn't compete with them, the clones were building computers that were better and cheaper then apple! What do you do when you can't compete with the clones? Why you pull their licenses! You do away with the competition! But there is good news! Alot of mac people are realizing that apple is nothing but a ripoff! Thats why apple sales are starting to tank! Ahh what the heck they only have a miserable 2% market share anyway! I say good for them! They get what they deserve!!!!!!!!!!!

You re such a dumb***, and you think you know something about computers? HA!!!!!! Dude, there is a little thing called a PowerPc----the mac uses them. Just because they are more efficient doesn't mean they aren't as powerful as the Intels. Why don't you do some research and find out the truth...the truth is out there, and you may find it disturbing. O, as for the prices, fathom this: Let's see, hmmm...pay 700 dollars for a computer that will last me 2 years, or 1500 for a computer that will last me 5? I dunno, you tell me. Why would you wnat to build a Mac since they are already well built anyways? Well, anyways, I would appreciate if you could just continue sucking upon Bill's tete. Thank you...

P.S. Sorry if I came off too harsh, just making a point .

    Excellent point.

    94. Tight integration between the hardware and software, only possible because Apple controls every aspect of the Mac.
