It's actually kind of sad how most PC die-hards have this tunnel vision-esque thing for numbers.

    96. You get to keep your soul.

    97. Your IQ rises in reverse relation to the number of hours you spend fixing your computer.

Ho hum. I have to admit running Win98 for 18 months and surviving only one crash. OS9 however

gives considerably more grief. [european understatement]

You only survived one crash ? What happened on the other nine hundred and ninety nine ? Did you have to reinstall Windows ? Reformat the hard drive ?

    98. You don't have to reinstall the operating system on a periodic basis.

I seem to find on the Wintel side, people are so depressed about their crummy OS that they only consider times when you have to buy a new computer/hard drive/reformat the hard drive to be 'crashes.'

I've been running OS X for a year now, not a single crash. And I'm not going to knock on wood, cause I really don't need to. It's that damn good.

    Oh, and:

    99. As well as your keeping your soul, you keep your data. That's right folks, Mac OS X doesn't have a knack for doing the nasty nasty to your hard drive, and there aren't viruses that do that either.

    100. After buying your computer, it gets faster annually on a regular basis (OS X upgrades.)

    101. There are over 100 reasons that Macs are better than PC's. No, this is not one of them. Don't ask about 102. We don't know either.

You re such a dumb***, and you think you know something about computers? HA!!!!!! Dude, there is a little thing called a PowerPc----the mac uses them. Just because they are more efficiant doesn't mean they aren't as powerful as the Intels. Why don't you do some research and find out the truth...the truth is out there, and you may find it disturbing. O, as for the prices, fathom this: Let's see, hmmm...pay 700 dollars for a computer that will last me 2 years, or 1500 for a computer that will last me 5? I dunno, you tell me. Why would you wnat to build a Mac since they are already well built anyways? Well, anyways, I would appreciate if you could just continue sucking upon Bill's tete. Thank you...

P.S. Sorry if I came off too harsh, just making a point .

I prefer Linux/FreeBSD over Windows, but x-windows feels incomplete and sloppy. Then OS X came along, here is a unix kernel with a sweet GUI and lots of professional grade software like Photoshop, FinalCut 3, etc etc

Speed doesn't mean a thing if you spend most of your time fighting with drivers, cleaning up viruses and doing windows updates with ULAs that say M$ can update the software on your computer without your consent or acknowledgment and that they can't be held responsible for any damage to your files that this causes.

Re to 99. I've never had nasty things happen to my data. (except for when linux lets you delete your boot sector ... I learned that the hard way)

Re to 100. Windows does run faster than OS X already.

    Re 101. This isn't a reason

I'm not raging on OS X, I have a PowerBook on order, but you all seem to be just as Anti-Windows as Windows people are Anti-Mac ... or Linux people are Anti-Windows (ant Anti-Newbie sometimes) for that matter. Fanatics turn off people that want to switch. If someone wants to switch and all you can do is tell them that they are moving over form the darkside , you are making them feel bad about the past. Just say 'good choice, and welcome aboard' not 'you must go to Mac Purgatory for the crime of using windows, one day you might be pure enough to be called a real mac user, until then you apply under the 5/9 law ... you are only 5/9 of a mac user'. I could care less about this since I'm used to elitests through dealing with linux, where it's not enough just to chose linux, you have to use a certain distro too or else someone will tell you that you aren't getting the full experience or soemthing. But mac elitists turn off average joe user that wants to switch.

...and the retards flourished... =) Please don't have kids. Intel is looking at a new Itanium chip, I guess that means that the P4 sucks ass. Dumb-ass.

Re to 30 : Only when carbon programs adhere to guidelines.

Re to 32 : WinAMP is free. Windows Movie Maker comes with Windows. Virtual Dub is free. Windows has iPhoto-like integration ... unfortunately it's not intuitive to find though. AIM is on windows, as is trillian.

Re to 35 : This is nothing. There would be more OS X or linux viruses if the OSes were more mainstream. You don't get email viruses if you are careful, and don't open all email that comes to you, and their attachments. Some people trust anything that comes their way, and are surprised when it burns them...I sure hope they don't trust everyone they meet on the street that way too.

Re to 37 : You can runs windows apps without a window. But why do you need to run a web browser with no window open. Then entire purpose of the program is to 'view' web pages, otherwise it's just using memory.

Re to 41 : This is due to Windows being the major platform, it would be the oppisite if Macs were on 90% of computers. The spyware would be on Macs then.
