    Yes.

I don't see it as ugly; and it delivers.

This is stupid. That query didn't say "play me the top song".

I understand what you're saying but I tested asking the exact same question and it just play the song. SIRI didn't look it up for me but play it. A bug I say.

Edit: Anyone remember what Eddie said in the keynote? Did he said "Play me.." or "What was.." just like this?

Sounds like a bug to me. There's no point in blocking information freely available everywhere else.

It feels unnecessary. There's probably no technical reason for it, so I assume some idiot like Phil Schiller dreamed it up, or one of his peons.

Google and Bing are "free" and Siri happily looked up this stuff in the past.

YES, it IS STUPID.  And greatly diminishes Siri as a useful tool as Apple starts to tie it in with additional paid services WHERE NO TIE IN IS NECESSARY.

The information requested is not something exclusive to Apple Music.

This is a total APPLE FAIL.

FACEPALM if you don't get this.

I know I'm late here but, google and bing are NOT free. I don't know why people think this, it's ridiculous, it's ludicrous.

When's the last time you seen Siri dish out ads to you?

Also take a look at this quote stolen from Jimmy Iovine.

    Panicking?

Yes, Google and Bing are "free"  (notice the quotes I put in the original).  There is no service charge to use them.  You may have to put up with ads or something but there is no DIRECT charge.
