Daniel Craig resisted Android phone placement in "Spectre" because "James Bond only uses the best"

You are right. I'm sure you have noticed all the TV characters seem to type into their lap tops too, you rarely see a mouse used and they manage to do things while typing that are totally impossible by just typing. It is pretty funny .. but that's show biz.

It also means never having to say "goodbye," at least when hanging up the phone.

    Bond wears an Omega.

Ah, back to trolling again, I see.

Hmm... What's that at #18? Wait... Where's the Rolex?

I hate when they do that. Why not just turn the computer on and film the actual screen? I don't understand.

    1) How is it trolling to point out a fact? Bond does indeed wear an Omega in Spectre.

    2) How does your pointing out a completely different Omega prove that [@]dasanman69[/@] is trolling? :???:

Speed and clarity come to mind. Remember films shoot a scene from multiple angles. Wasting your screen time with the mouse moving across a screen or occurring information on a busy display can negatively affect the pace of the film; of course, making the screen too fake also can affect the viewer's disconnect from reality in the film, but if you are on this site you probably deal with technology quite a bit more than the average person.

Can you imagine James Bond, super spy, using a piece of crap Android phone? <img class=" src="http://forums-files.appleinsider.com/images/smilies//lol.gif" />It makes no sense at all, and it would totally make the entire movie worse.

Bravo to Daniel Craig and to the director for recognizing that the creative part of a movie is sometimes more important than the money. They obviously wish for their film to have some integrity. James Bond might be a fictional film, but making James Bond use an Android phone is simply beyond being believable, and the mere thought is absurd to any normal human being.

Sorry Fandroids, but the vast majority of Android phones are used mostly by cheap people and people who couldn't afford anything else. That doesn't exactly fit within the image of a "James Bond" character.

But don't worry Fandroids, maybe there will be a hobo spy film in the future, and the hobo lead character will be using an Android phone, as that is completely believable and totally within the realms of reality.:smokey:

How's that trolling? Early on Bond did indeed wear a Rolex, and a few other watches but for the last 25 years he's been wearing Omega. Now you peruse.

James Bond could use an iPhone. Of course Q has to jailbreak it to run useful spy apps, and then Apple patches over it and oh what a mess. ;)

The Z4 is far superior to any iPhone and is a $700 flagship device.

I'm sure MI6 has a business account, and can make, and install whatever spy apps they need. ;)

Strangely, James Bond (Daniel Craig) used a Sony Ericsson K800i in "Casino Royale," released November 17, 2006, but that film was presumably shot over a year before the first gen iPhone would have been available.

James Bond would have a Vertu. Why? Because the Vertu comes with the Concierge button.

Even though we're all familiar with modern OS screens, it's near impossible to guide the audience through the story and convey exposition on one screen in just a few seconds. It requires giant text and cartoonish buttons and that means a completely different looking OS.

When you make your Bond film, you can use all the Z4s you want.

Do explain how your post about Omega advances the discussion on the original poster's point, which was simply that Bond wears/uses classy stuff, and that, in turn would be inconsistent with his being seen with an Android phone as opposed to an iPhone?

Are you agreeing with @fallenjt? In which case, mea culpa.

I read the article kind of fast, but I see nowhere in it (or in the comments) an answer to a pretty obvious question:

So does bond use an iPhone (and other Apple gear) in the film?

    Nobody said so. :???:

I was merely correcting him. I wasn't trying to be a dick about it. The rest of his post was fine.
