It’s my recollection that the BBC covered up the mass rape of British children in Rotherham for a decent amount of time.

I think you may be mixing up the Rotherham scandal with the Jimmy Saville scandal.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rotherham_child_sexual_exploitation_scandal

    Quote:

In January 2013, the head of Rotherham Council, Martin Kimber, was summoned to the select committee to explain the lack of arrests for sexual abuse, despite South Yorkshire Police saying it was conducting several investigations and the council having identified 58 young girls at risk.[25] MP Keith Vaz questioned why, after five Asian men were jailed in 2010, more was not being done: "In Lancashire there were 100 prosecutions the year before last, in South Yorkshire there were no prosecutions". The council apologised for the "systemic failure" that had "let down" the victims of child sexual abuse.[25]

The select committee issued a report on 18 October 2014, that claimed that files containing information on alleged failings by the authorities to investigate abuse had been stolen from the office of a Rotherham Council researcher in 2002. The allegations were made in private hearings of the committee, which concluded that both the council and South Yorkshire Police had ignored evidence about the scale of the abuse.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimmy_Savile

    Quote:

n October 2012, almost a year after his death, an ITV documentary examined claims of sexual abuse by Savile[10] and led to extensive media coverage and a substantial and rapidly growing body of witness statements and sexual abuse claims, including accusations against public bodies for covering up or failure of duty. Scotland Yard launched a criminal investigation into allegations of child sex abuse by Savile spanning six decades,[6] describing him as a "predatory sex offender", and later stated that they were pursuing more than 400 lines of inquiry based on the testimony of 300 potential victims via 14 police forces across the UK.[11][12] By late October 2012, the scandal had resulted in inquiries or reviews at the BBC, within the National Health Service, the Crown Prosecution Service, and the Department of Health.[13][14][15] In June 2014, investigations into Savile's activities in 28 NHS hospitals, including Leeds General Infirmary and Broadmoor psychiatric hospital, concluded that he had sexually assaulted staff and patients aged between five and 75 throughout several decades.[16]

And if you point out that blacks make up only ~12% of the population, yet contribute greater than 50% of the violent crime - you are labelled a racist.  If you point out that blacks make up only ~12% of the population, yet overwhelmingly are over-represented on welfare recipients, you are also a racist.  Yet, these are measurable, quantifiable and verifiable facts.  Name the vice, whether it's gangs, drugs, teenage pregnancy, alcoholism, rape, burglary, identity theft, robbery or gun related criminal activity - blacks are way over-represented.  To say anything else is simply a racist lie - because these facts are very easy to verify.

Why do Asians, whites and people from India feel comfortable congregating together?  Because, statistically they are safe in each other company.

Instead of pointing the fingers at the victims of the crimes, how about we actually ask the black community to join the rest of civilization?  Blacks have a cultural problem - no matter where you go in the world, no matter what time period in human history you pick - these problems are persistent, and the same tired excuse it trotted out over and over again.  Everyone else is racist.

posts like this make me despair.

Why?  I thought cold, hard facts were generally a good thing.  Or are they a bad thing, when you expose a hoax; and you like pushing the agenda of the hoax?  Everything I said, is painfully true, agonizingly apparent - yet totally ignored by the perpetrators.  For example, did you know that if you took the gun violence in Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, New Orleans and New York and did a racial analysis, that approximately 86% of these crimes are committed by Blacks.  If you add in Hispanics, the rate rises to 99.8%.  This means, that in 2014 only 0.2% of the crimes committed in these cities are other than Black/Hispanics.  Yet, mysteriously; this isn't tracked and these facts are not reported.

    Every race that ever lived.

    Who created modern medicine?

Why do they speak English in Australia, South Africa, and in many parts of the world. Why is Spanish spoken in so many countries? England, Spain, France, Portugal, and others went around trying to conquer the entire world killing massive amounts of people. Even if other races tried the same they weren't as successful as England, and Spain.

And who created many of the diseases we have today?

Why is cancer so prevalent in the US?

Why do we have to enrich flour when wheat was full of nutrients?

If you're going to create the problem you can at least create the solution, and get super rich in the process.

You might want to re-read your history.  England's goal was to "Make the world British", not exterminate them.  If you want to point the fingers at exterminators, you might want to look at Spain.  Not a whole lot of Inca, Myan or Aztecs left in South America.  On the other hand, countries under British rule did exceedingly well.  They learned English, math, science and medicine, they began to trade on a grand scale with Europe.  One could argue that the British Empire was one of the best things to happen to mankind.

Unless banging rocks together and living in a grass hut for the next 1,000 years sounds like a better idea.

And what happened to those that didn't want to be British?

What's wrong with living in a hut and banging rocks?
The world would be a much better place if we still lived like that.

Like every culture though out the existence of mankind; a superior culture will subdue an inferior culture.

There is a fascinating book called "Guns, Germs and Steel: The fate of Human Societies" that goes into this.  There is a reason why Europe and Asia surged ahead in technology, and other continents basically stalled out at the Stone Age.  Part of it is culture and aptitude.

In actuality it's the most brutal culture will dominate a docile one. It's easy to lose against guns when all you have are bows, and arrows.

I've never blocked a single poster, and don't intend to. Makes things more interesting.

Btw, I wonder how many people know what the photo of your avatar is of. I'm there quite often in the summer.

Looking at my poop after eating a super sized burrito with extra beans would be more interesting. It's really not worth the energy. The few times I comment on Apple sites is essentially wasted time.

On my mobile, so can't see my avatar. But if I remember correctly, that's the parachute jump in Coney Island, Brooklyn.

This is by far the best site. I've looked at those other ones, and it's really a soiree of simpletons (no you can't use that lol). I appreciate a well written post no matter how wrong they are.

The parachute jump it is indeed. Coney Island is one of my favorite places in the world. Such a mix of people, all races, all socioeconomic classes in one place to have a good time and do so amicably. Go to the kid's section and you'll see black, hispanic, hasidic Jewish, Russian, and Arab kids all on the same ride having a great time.

I’ve always heard Britons say that the BBC is an excellent news source as long as you don’t want to know anything about the UK. This because the government controls it.

“Fascinating” in that it’s utterly astonishing just how incorrect it is. Diamond has no clue what he’s talking about.

1.Genocide is just a side effect of colonization

The wheat that exists today has been modified, and it is nothing like the wheat from years ago. The original wheat no longer exists. Good old science and technology making things worse for the human race yet again.

I've heard similar comments too but, having grown up and lived in the UK for many years, that accusation made no sense to me. Even the most cursory comparison of BBC news coverage with other sources shows clearly, IMO, that it has never been controlled by the government in any meaningful, editorial sense.
