Who here thinks Apple should release different colors on its systems again? I personally liked it when Apple had all the different colored iMacs and iBooks and I would like to see them do that again personally. Why did Apple move away from that any way?

Go to a store like Target. You'll see everything electronic there is multi-colored. It got played out. The colors are from 1999 and let them stay there. White and silver is MUCH better IMO.

I love kitchen appliances too!

You know what your RIGHT!!! Mods you can close this now Now that you put it that way I never wanna see multi colors again.
There is a difference, though. When Apple had colors, there were PC makers (especially Compaq, I believe) who tried to copy the colored look. Now it looks like they've branched - Apple's going with the professional, minimalist white and silver, and many PC makers are either black/gray or solid colors. I personally think the black and gray look is pretty corny, and the solid colors are a bit garish. I prefer the clear plastic look, whether colors or grays are used.
I've seen some pcs that are for their look wanna-be iboooks..
Now the color thing could be ok.. how about the Nokia (mobile) style press-on colors...??
I'd like to have a transparent ibook
Hey, if they can enamel-coat a kitchen stove that costs a few hundred dollars, why not a computer that costs a few thousand?
I'd like to see a PowerBook in navy blue or burgundy, with silver accents. That would still look professional.
Next time, I'm going pure brushed stainless--not the mirror stuff. It's too hard to keep shiny, and that's a problem with the mirror doors, unless you wear gloves to use your computer. Kinky.
So, I guess I'm for a real industrial strength brushed stainless steel case--attractive and durable. Make it a little heavier. I don't care. If it was a dual, like people are speculating and some want, it would be hot as hell, and it can double as a griddle.
But i've heard of some that they'd have messed it with some marker pens or something, they weren't maybe careful enough with it.. doing posters or something in an advertising studio...
I like my mobile phone to be transparent so i simply have transparent covers on it... A transparent ibook.. uh? Could be pretty...
I think it was nokia on mobiles that started the thing with the covers... now ibook with covers could look
It would be nice to see a more durable finish on the PowerBook, though.

It is a good idea but over all it isn't the best thing. One thing I really like about my iBook it is easy to keep looking clean. I clean it maybe once every month and it usually doesn't need it because I usually wash my hands before I use it.

Yeah, you're probably right about the oil. It was just a thought... I didn't know it had already been tried on other laptops, either. Interesting!

Don't get me wrong though it looked super nice and felt nice but man it was a pain in my bleep to keep it clean. My friend still has the same laptop I use to have and he doesn't take care of it at all and it looks like hell. Oh well his laptop and his money I guess It seems like I take better care of my ibook than I do my truck
