Who has the largest vintage Apple collection?

There's a TV mogul here in Canada that has the largest vintage TV collection.



Got me wondering if there anyone who actually collects vintage Apple hardware?

And I mean dating back to the original 128K Mac and even rare stuff like Pippen and eMate stuff.



I actually saw an old Powerbook 520C the other day and while the screen is pretty small, the curves on that are still pretty cool.

    I know a friend who has an old Powerbook 520C, it still works too. very slowly tho. He uses it as a door stop!

    I (well my immediate family) have a bunch of old/newish macs:

    Apple II

    Apple IIE

    Apple Se/30

    Apple LC III

    Apple 7200/90

    Apple 7600/132

    Apple iBook (indigo, Graphite SE, and Orange)

    TiBook 800

    Dual Gig (not MDD)



    oh and a Northstar which was pre Apple II that runs still on its green and black screen and all it does is accounting.

    Apple IIc

    Macintosh Plus

    Macintosh SE

    Macintosh SE/30

    Macintosh Classic

    Macintosh LC III

    Macintosh Performa 6400

    Macintosh Centris (forgot model number)

    Powerbook 100

    Power Macintosh G4/450



    and thats no where near all the PC crap that I have.

    That's quite a collection folks.

    Do you actually still use any of them or is it purely for display.



    I know it may be difficult for some to throw them out for sentimental reasons. I just think it's a great history of how far industrial design and technology has come.



    Personally, I liked the Macintosh LC pizza box line. Unfortunately they paired them off with crappy 12" display at the time. Geez, I remember when a 13" RGB monitor was a premium over those lowly composite ones!!

    The classic style macs are for display...well they eventually will be.

    One is going to be a digital clock on my wall, the other two will be fish

    tanks. I just haven't had the time to do that yet.



    The other Macs are for sentimental reasons. I just can't throw a Mac away!

    The 6400 has the most problems (broken disk drive, flakey harddrive) but the

    rest work fine and I'm looking for something fun to do with them. Except of course

    for the G4 450, thats my main machine.
