Thank goodness for the switcher ad breaks on Apple's website. I'm kind of tired of seeing them. Anyone else? Jimmy Carter though? Thats cool I guess.

Forgive me if I am stating the obvious, for I just woke up, but all of you do realize that the Think Different campaign is dead, and that this one was just revived to congratulate Carter, and that the Switchers will return soon, right?
it's apple's website, and apple's old campaign. they can pull it from the mothballs any time they want (remember, "hello, again" from the iMac's 1998 debut? not an exact correlation, but you get the idea)
what i want to see:
macminute is reportng from reuters that the dell "dude" may not be re-signed for dell's next set of commercials.
good idea or not, i would laugh my f'n ass off if apple signed him to a one-off "switch" ad, maybe just for macworld san francisco (like they did with will ferrell).
I don't think "Think Different" was ever dead; it's just taken a less active position. I think most of you would agree that "Switch" is not Apple's mission statement, "Think Different" is.
What message should Geore W. Bush read out this. Guess it's a political statment putting him like that on the Front Page
it's only political if you choose to read it that way. but i tend to see it as honoring the man, and what he has done for peace, and housing the unfortunate, among other things. i have to admit it has gotten a lot of people angry though on other boards... he seems to have really pissed a lot of people off for his comments about giving GW the power to go to war. um, if you are an unwavering proponent of PEACE, then of course you're not going to approve of WAR. disagree if you must, but don't act all shocked like this is some sort of surprise. hell, i'm impressed that he has the guts to say the word peace in a very hurt nation that still wants vindication. he knew the uproar this might cause, and still spoke out. i admire that.

You got it. While Apple may come up with a variety of campaigns to market it's products, they probably will wave the "Think Different" flag for a while as a company slogan and mission.
I thought Apple was going to bring back "The power to (fill in the blank)" slogan a couple days ago. There was a little icon for iCal and it said "The power to organize your digital life."
I like Think Different more though. They don't have the funnier ads from a few years ago, though, like the snail ad or the "Serious Business Computer" ad. I'd like to see something like that, one that portrays them not as elitist or "complicated," but one that portrays the company as casual and carefree.
EDIT: Whoops, it was actually an icon for iSync that said "The power to synchronize your digital life," which is still up on their site.
I think my favourite Think Different print ad was the tortoise trying to get it on with the GI helmet.

(oh wait, nobody even knows what I'm talkin' about...)
