<a href="http://www.winternet.com/~mikelr/flame29.html"; target="_blank">Troller</a> [quote]Troller is looking for a response...ANY response, and he will chum the waters with complaints, insults, compliments, and inflammatory tidbits hoping that someone...ANYONE, will take the bait. Generally quite harmless - practices a form of catch and release. Nonetheless, he can upset the delicate ecology of a discussion forum. Once a forum becomes aware of his presence, however, all feeding activity ceases and Troller must move on to more promising waters.<hr></blockquote>

This may be true of your garden variety Troll, but AI is famous for attracting a particularly hearty breed. I believe Brad calls these "Super Trolls". These mutant Trolls thrive on the attention their behaviour brings them. In fact, at last count we had well over a dozen of them living in AI waters. VERY difficult to get rid of.

murbot is right. In fact, we've also accidentally created a bit of a breeding grounds for trolls in the form of the Fireside Chat forum. Fortunately, they're easy to avoid if you just steer clear of FC altogether.

iMud, you must be one of the greenest new-bots I've ever come across.

Knows how to post, but doesn't know what a "troll" is.

    Heard of "google?"

Yea I use google, I just really haven't used any boards before. I just thought all boards were lame till I ran across this place. Most boards are like the stuff in FC or worse.

    You can always dream ...

There is no official list of trolls in AI. there is just a list of member and a list of disactivated login name.

Trolls here on AI? Say it isn't so.

On another note I think it's great that the main page is posting info again.

Meant in no such way-I was referring to non-person as in unregistered,I was reading an old thread and scott_h_phd was listed as unregisterd.Much in the way that dissedents in the old Soviet system were referred to as non-persons.
