Just 2 _realistic_ products please and at what price. I would buy:

1) iPod2 running Palm OS with iPhoto functionality. Price: $400.

2) (uh, my budget doesn't currently allow for a # 2 <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" /> )

    1) 14" iBook G4/550 mhz for $1999

    2) Any Apple LCD display that works with the iBook or Powerbook.

1)G5 DP running @ 20GHz with 2TB of Ram for $999. (Just about as realistic as an iPod with Palm OS and iPhoto functionality for $400

12 inch iBook with a G4 and DVD only for 1299. Don't need the CDRW, don't need a combo.

I need a laptop badly but I really don't want a G3, I want it to last longer. I can't afford the TiBook, so I have to wait for the iBook to get the G4 or find a good deal on a refurbished Ti.

    prosumer/gamers iMac SE

    17" LCD

    133 bus

    7200 rpm HD (80gigs?)

    Geforce 4

    superdrive

extra usb port and firewire port on side

make the body a different color (quicksilver? smoke?) to signify it as a S.E.

$2299 (same price and specs as PM line, but not upgradible...but with lcd....)

    g

but since i just bought my iMac, they can wait a year or two before releasing this

iPod2/iPad...maybe, but already have a nice MP3 player and never really understood the need of a handheld....guess it is just one of those things that if you have you love, if you don't you think the person who does is a geek (i always think of handhelds as todays pocket protectors).

That all depends on how much you think it would cost.

A 19" LCD from Apple, or maybe the 23" if the price is reduced from the current 2499.

An iPod update either a lower priced 5GB or a 10GB at the same price. (XM radio would be cool but not necessary)

An 800Mhz PowerBook with superdrive - won't happen though.

Oh,and some of that gum. Probably just the gum, actually.

If I can get the <a href="http://www.macmall.com/macmall/shop/detail.asp?dpno=356928"; target="_blank">FireFly FireWire 5GB Drive for MAC</a> for $240, that Palm OS iPod for $400 doesn't seem too unrealistic. Besides, everything on our wish lists is coming. It's just a matter of how long we have to wait.

800 MHz PowerBook G4. Don't care about the other specs as long as it's 800 MHz or faster.

    iBook G4/700 w/ Radeon Mobility

(at the same price as the iBook G3/600 DVD)
