Apple's internet radio options expanded on Tuesday with the addition of NBC Sports Radio, a 24-hour live station with high-profile sports talk personalities.

NBC Sports Radio is now available to stream via the iOS Music app, or in iTunes on a Mac or PC. It joins other live news and talk stations available from Apple such as NPR and BBC World Service.

The 24/7 NBC Sports Radio station is home to sports talk personalities including Mike Florio, Chris Mannix, Rodney Harrison, and Amani Toomer.

iTunes Radio launched in 2013 as a free service for iOS 7, Mac, Apple TV, and Windows PC, like similar offerings from Pandora, Apple's ad-supported free-to-stream product offered listeners pre-programed music playlists with limited song skips. iTunes Radio was rolled under the Apple Music umbrella earlier this year.

More recently, Pandora-like music stations have become exclusive to Apple Music subscribers for $9.99 per month. But news stations, including NBC Sports Radio, are available to stream for all users, without any subscription.

Apple is expected to announce multiple enhancements to the Apple Music service, including potential new Beats radio stations, at next week's Worldwide Developers Conference. The company will host a keynote presentation next Monday at 10 a.m. Pacific, 1 p.m. Eastern, and AppleInsider will be there live.

So Apple 'Music' now has both Fashion and Sports in it. Maybe the name, 'Apple Music' was ill conceived?

I don't personally care enough about Fashion to have looked into how it sounds, but it seems like it would need more than just audio to be effective. And yes, I know Apple Music has video in the respect of music videos but putting Fashion under the brand, 'Apple Music' makes little sense to me.

Looks like this is a US or maybe North American option only as it is with NPR. We get BBC here in Australia though but I don't tend to listen to it.

Will be interesting to see if WWDC brings any news of an expansion the Beats 1 line-up.

Um, this story wasn't about the fashion channel but it would be worth you going back and reading that article. The "Fashion Channel" is just curated playlists of music. So it fits in perfectly well with the Apple Music name. The fashion tie in is that the playlists are curated by a fashion designer based primarily on the songs they use at their fashion shows. So it's not a fashion related radio channel or anything like that.
