Sleep and alarm

is there anyway (using apple script, or ical or whatever) for me to set up a way for my computer to mute itself after 30 min (sleep function) and un-mute itself and play a certain song at a specific time in the morning? (alarm)



can i get the ipod to do this also?

    ? no (mute is possible, but not wake up from sleep)



    ? belongs into GB and not GD (sorry mods)

    the computer doesn't necessarily have to go to sleep... it just needs to turn off the sound... the display will be off anyway... basically i just want it to be able to start playing a song in iTunes at a specific time... SoundJam used to be able to do this, why can't iTunes?



    and i wasn't really sure if this should be in GD or GB as I'm not really having a problem... i want to have a discussion about a (missing) feature of iTunes... maybe DH?

    i dont think you can make them wake the computer from sleep though.
