My feeling is that a lot of people are buying, I know I am.

I'm going to order one soon. I think I'm going to get the following config:

    1Ghz

    60GB

    1GB RAM

    Combo Drive

    --------

    about 2400 with dev discount

    + 300 : 120GB external FW drive

    + 750 : Formac 1740OX monitor

    -1500 : Sale of current PB (500Mhz w/ 768MB, 30GB 5400rpm)

    total cost: 1950 US

Not bad, considering that my 500 cost about 3300, maybe more.

    I ordered mine 2 days ago! 1GHz/1GB/60GB/Combo

The current status of my order is partially shipped, but the funny thing is, when I go into the detail view, all 3 items on my order say "no items shipped" <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />

Ordered 1Ghz, 1 GB RAM, Superdrive, 60 GB HD on 11/8, and on 11/11 it went from being reviewed to being assembled! I'm psyched!

I ordered the SuperDrive one with 1 Gig RAM. Paid 3700 EUR in the European Apple store including all taxes (16% sales tax here).

Well, I've been looking to replace my computers and waiting for the right time. I think the new TiBook is more than enough for my Mac needs and finally at a decent price.

So I decided to pick up a new TiBook as well. I got the 1GHz, 1GB RAM, 60GB HD, ComboDrive model (I would never use the SuperDrive and would rather have the additional CDRW speed). I got it for a pretty good deal too ($2739). My order went from 'Being Reviewed' early in the morning to 'Shipped' by the evening (in one day?!) Right now it's still in Taiwan waiting to board I assume.

So that takes car of the Mac, next I will get a new PC. I'll be getting one of the new 3GHz beasts with a huge LCD. The prices will begin to drop and the scary huge 200GB (8MB Cache) hard drives are going to be in more of the competition (over the next few weeks/months).

So, I had a Mac Desktop and a PC Notebook - so now I am just swapping them and getting a Mac Notebook and a PC Desktop. Change is good - as is variety!
