Snow Screen Saver?

The Macs at the Apple Store have a cool snow screen saver running. Where can I get it at?

Note: Its not the "Sno Desktop" screen saver from Version Tracker. It is different (and better).

Can someone go into a store and upload it to their iDisk please? I live too far away to do this...

Here is what was said about it on the MacNN forums:

The screensaver he is refering to is being run by the 17" iMac in most window displays. I asked the genuis in my Apple store about it tonight, and he says it is a quicktime movie, made just for that purpose. Several people have asked about it, and it is not available to the public.

    -it was kind like....a bummmer.

Surely this would be easy to get?

I remember this time last year, there was one of those cool OpenGL (is that what it's called?) "falling snowflake" screensavers available on Apple's site, in the download section of the OS X part of the website.

I looked there quickly a little while ago, but didn't see it. I'll check again...

That one probably isn't the same, as stated before, the one at the Apple Stores is a movie, not rendered on the fly.

Correct, the one at the Apple Store is totally different. It is a quicktime movie. I downloaded one for OS X but it runs too slow on my PowerBook and appears jerky. Sigh, I need more memory for Christmas but I'll settle for the Snow "screensaver" being used at the Apple Store...

This one is close to the one shown in the Apple Store display windows and not jerky at all for me...

    ...Ick.

I'll stick with Black Light, if the AppleStore one is anything like that then it's probably not all that great.

ah yes this one is much better.... 3D-ish

too bad it is only in a screen saver format unlike SNÖ which can be run as an application...

it looks nice, but only 2D and very choppy at times... :hmmmm:

    <a href="http://www.versiontracker.com/moreinfo.fcgi?id=10688&db=mac"; target="_blank">Black Light</a>.

To download, click <a href="http://michelf-files.webhop.org/black-light.dmg"; target="_blank">here</a> (the one on VersionTracker is a broken link to an old .Mac page.)

It is primarily an app that inverts the screen, (by inverting the monitor gamma) but it comes with a kick-ass screen saver as well. It can invert the screen, do hue changing, pulsate from light to dark, lots of cool stuff. Great if you want to dim the screen a little bit with a screen saver and still monitor the computer.
