iBook advice..? (new models??)

i definitelly need an ibook...



the problem is whether to get it now or to wait some three weeks to a month.



what are the possibilities a new and FAR BETTER ibook model will come out by mid september??

were there any news in the mac expo in NY ?

i know here in europe the models come out later... and cost here a lot more.



somebody said in paris there'd be a mac expo around 10 sept, and there could be the possibility of something new...



ok, i'd prefer a faster processor, infrared port, more usb .. all in the 12" combo model.



i'd like to hear opinions, rumors, whatever.. either i run tomorrow to buy me the mac (found a place 10% cheaper and then i should run on holidays..) and the new models come out or go to holidays with no computer and when i get it still the new model comes out in two days..



ok ... sorry exaggerating.. <img src="graemlins/oyvey.gif" border="0" alt="[No]" /> want the mac but should i have it now or a bt later...??

i'm trying to survive now only with linux redhat 7.3 on a pc laptop (with 366 mhz,256 mb ram and 4,6 hd) ..



want the mac.. <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" /> can't get it out of my head i guess before i have it.. advice? other than i neeeeeed the mac??

    If I were Apple I would not hold the release of a new iBook past mid August. It is a great computer for the student on the go. You have to offer students your best to compete with PC back-to-school alternatives.



    Just my opinion.

    Hey Bianca, ok so it's december the first as we speak and from what I was told this weekend after visiting some friends who work at Apple, a new iBook will be coming out sometime before or after MCSF. The person with whom I spoke to that works at Apple here on Infinity way in Cupertino did not want to tell me to what extent revisions will be made. I posted on another thread concerning this subject but the folks on that thread were scheptical concerning a new G4 on an iBook. I agree, but I was told to wait until after MCSF this year to get my iBook, so I will do that. There is deffinitely a sence of pride for Apple here in this area...I have friends who only use Macs in their house and wouldn't use anything but. Friends of mine who work at Apple love working there and use their products exclusively. You should consider moving here...nice place to work.
