Does anyone know what this connection is? I set up iCloud Drive, and now my network gets bogged down trying to connect to this server and uploading a whole lot of data to it. Its so bad my Apple TV can't connect to netflix and all other computers slow down.

    Anything that ends in .apple.com belongs to Apple. That domain points to an Amazon cloud server. Apple uses Amazon Web services (AWS) for some iCloud services.

    File uploads will usually choke up a local network, you'd have to find a way to throttle your uploads to prevent this. Some routers have QoS controls that allow you to lower your upload rate, even just limiting it a little will free up enough bandwidth for other devices. If it's your Mac doing the uploading, you can do this on the system:
