Your obviousluck seething about the election results, being you were so far up the Democrats and HRC's asses

BTW, it's a 10% tax holiday and then 15% going forward on all foreign earnings. Apple will be all over this and will be able to bring $200B back to the US if they wish

More important, it would be a 15% income tax on everything going forward, vs the current 26% Apple has been accruing.  It would be a massive windfall and dramaticallly improve operating results of the company going forward.  Was this too inconsequential for you to mention in your tirade?

Ugh...I had to stop following Dilger on Twitter because of his political rants.  He does a pretty good Apple analysis, but it baffles me how someone can can support a free market company and still be a blatant socialist.  Just another product of the socialist brainwashing in schools these days.  But I guess I can thank the Chicken Little sky-is-falling knuckleheads like him that made it a profitable day on wall street for me.  AAPL November 11 call strike price 108 bought for 1.50 this morning, sold for 3.00 at lunch time...100k in about 5 hours.

Hopefully Apple go even harder at privacy and encryption in their next hardware and iOS/OS releases, before the govt forces backdoors on everything.

Are you honestly saying that Hillary isn't a criminal! I can't believe how blinkered people can be when they are force-fed Clinton controlled media. Do your own research, don't just take what you are handed.

Convenient for him to obfuscate the massive tax breaks that Trump wants to give US corporations for repatriating foreign money, but then again that wouldn't fit his narrative. If I was apple I'd be more worried about the data sharing that communist China is about to force on them

Donal trump is not a stupid person. He doesn't have all he has for no reason. The people who follow him are stupid, but donal trump isn't. He is a very smart business man who knew how to get votes from ignorant people and the fact the he is the elected president proof he did his research and knew how to manipulate people into voting for him. Don't underestimate him, again. The funny thing is that a lot of people voted for him to try and get illegal immigrants out, and in voting for him they just put a former illegal immigrant in the White House

It isn't a stump speech, it's an attempt to understand how Trump's attempts at national policy would affect Apple. I've also heard people say he'll be impeached within his first year, if he even survives the federal racketeering charges. Of course, all the Republican and conservative judges will give him a pass because he's the incoming President and all he needs to do is force the trial into a conservative suburb or one of the many red districts in the farm land and nobody will convict him of anything.

Yes, I'm upset he won because he has no business being our President.

Wow, what misconception in many comments above.  Trump is going to help Apple by lowering the tax of bringing profits back to the USA for use here.  Nothing or very little has been said otherwise. Trump wants manufacturing here.  It just does not make sense to pay people not to work in America and pay individuals in other countries to do the work.  I don't really care what they make, but they have to work for what they get.  So, we pay individuals to sit at home watching TV, playing video games, doing drugs, etc. ---when they could be doing something useful like making products.  Wow, lets think about it.   One fifth of homes do not have anyone working in the household.  This is really Great for self esteem.

I have been involved with manufacturing innovations for over 50 years.  We cannot seem to spend the monies to innovate here, but send it elsewhere.  I worked at Boeing innovating manufacturing processes.  They sent our innovations (including equipment) to Mexico and Italy for free???????  Incidentally they screwed it up and caused as much rework as the original cost.

I have been an Apple Advocate for years, not agreeing with their principals and political views, but like many of their products, especially software.  I feel today they are on a ledge and possibly at a point to make bad decisions.  Innovation certainly is at a low low.  Every one is catching up or beating Apple to the punch.

Also, many of you believe in Global Warming caused by us.  I don't.  I probably have more experience and more education regarding this than any of you commenting.  Far more than Gore, thats for sure.  I don't believe in excessive waste or misuse of resources.  I certainly do not want to export natural gas.  Where is our head??????????? The Global warming cause is an international political grab for power, nothing else.  It cannot be substantiated via documentation.  I just spent a week in San Francisco, I saw only two Electric vehicles (Tesla's) the complete time.  I did see a lot of other waste and stupid spending during that time. It is my opinion California does not have it together in any way.  I'll take the midlands.  And------I am very tired of California attempting to force their political/enviromental crap on us because of trade unfairness?????????

Comments from trump fans prove they tend to be nothing but unintelligent, angry people who get all their opinions and information from an echo chamber of internet memes.

Obviously, lots of flyover country and the rust belt felt quite alienated by the political machine. Hillary was more of the same, nothing exciting, just like a buick car. At least with trump, he was unique and gave them something to believe in. Gary Johnson may/may not have acted as Ralph Nader II and siphoned some votes from Hillary.

Apple must follow the laws. If the law is changed to require backdoors, they must comply. "Resistance" means going to jail, going out of business, and being replaced by someone who will follow orders.

I am still waiting for Trump bobo Ted (not so great on guitar after all) Nugent to leave the country as he absolutely swore he would if Obama was re-elected.

I cancelled my $3.5K MacBook Pro order because of what happened last night. I don't think I can afford it right now, not knowing what the future holds. I hope that I'm wrong. I hope that a President Trump acts responsibly. I hope that a President Trump won't cause a trade war. However, at this point, I do not know.

That little thing called democracy elected Hitler, elected Hamas, and made slavery legal for nearly one hundred years. Don't think that it being the will of the people, makes the evil of Trump and his agenda justifiable. Americans who voted for Trump will have to live with their choice. Let's just hope America is around in 4 years and that elections take place.

Thank you. The people who voted Trump into office now need to stand up and take responsibility for their indiscretion. AI is merely highlighting the direction you helped send the U.S.A., but I guess you can't take it. Trump can't take criticism either.
hey I'm happy to see trump in office. Clinton would have sent us on a collision course with Russia (which maybe is unavoidable) but I'd rather have somebody in office that at least wants good relations with a nuclear power.
