So, word has it that in the first quarter of 2003, the new .EU top-level domain will become operational. I have a pre-order running, and hope to get one. Does anybody know more on this? Are there restrictions on obtaining a .eu domain? Any hints on the price of these babies? Anybody know the best way to be sure to get one?

Is there something online already on this .eu domain? Shed me some light already, PLEASE!!

Will this be pronounced DOT EE YOU, or DOT IIUUUHH, like the French "eux"?

Is it not EU as in European Union? If so this also settles the pronunciation question.

I might sign up for one, my family name is quite rare but it's already gone for .com, .co.uk and .net
