Apple Music exclusive 'Can't Stop, Won't Stop: A Bad Boy Story' trailer arrives

The first trailer for the Apple Music-Exclusive documentary on Bad Boy Records -- "Can't Stop, Won't Stop" has been released.

The film is centered around record label Bad Boy's owner Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs, the rise of the label during the '90s, and efforts to put together 20th-anniversary shows in 2016. The documentary includes behind-the-scenes moments and interviews with industry executives, such as now-Apple Music head Jimmy Iovine.

"I went to the [Bad Boy Reunion] concert and thought it was incredible," Iovine told Billboard in April. "I think Puff and Bad Boy's story is incredible and one that a lot of people can relate to in any genre or in any business. His story is powerful. He really overcame a lot to get to where he's at today and the documentary shows that."

An advance screening of "Can't Stop, Won't Stop" happened at the TriBeCa Film Festival at the end of April. Apple will hold onto exclusivity of the feature for at least a year.

Apple may have up to 10 original shows and documentaries planned for 2017 according to recent reports. Known to be in production are "Carpool Karaoke," "Planet of the Apps," and documentaries about Clive Davis and Cash Money Records.

It would be nice if Apple recognized the death of Chris Cornell on iTunes.

    really?

Apple should just stop this non-sense and buy the rights to the Firefly TV show.
Then buy the rights to Silmarilion by JRR Tolken.
Then start broadcasting all the big video game events.

Who the hell cares about P-Dodie?
Original content is a big deal. They may have the next big series in development now.

I wish they'd buy Vice though, they're very raw and real. They're gonna be the new MTV.

Apple used to celebrate musical artists who actually know how to play their instruments and sing.

Sorry...maybe you liked him, but with all due respect, he really wasn't a huge music star. Not really worth mentioning to be honest.

It was awful. I had just seen him in November when the Temple of the Dog tour came to California.

You're nuts. His death was headlines in every major publication around the world. Cornell has sold over 30 million albums worldwide. Maybe you don't like his music, but either way, he was a star.

Even if one was not very familiar with his volume of work, they were probably familiar with his song, "You Know My Name" for the Bond film Casino Royale.

So is Apple producing this? Actually funding it?

if so, someone's waaaay out of touch. Making movies about old has-Beens trying to act like kids with phrases like "can't stop, won't stop?" It doesn't get any Cornier or irrelevant.

What at a shame. It would be awesome if Apple actually did something cool. Or did something with someone cool.

    Not this.

    Oh. My gosh. Not this.

If Apple has exclusivity for just a year, then I'm guessing they didn't fund it.

Oh, and it says Live Nation Productions. Doesn't mention Apple.

It's not my thing, but since no one died and made me God of What's Relevant then I'll let the folk it's aimed at be the judge.
