Then, he talks about Quicktime 6 being held back - which Phil Schiller announced on the 12th of Feb. Now, how is it that the 11th of Feb. is still in the future, but the 12th is in the past?????

It makes me chuckle
So, what member of these boards is feeding them?
Fess up I say!
But hey, that's why I love it here
iPhoto Pro, ahahhaa... iMovie Pro! iTunes Pro! iDVD Pro! Oh wait, that's not how Apple names things...
You fool! You've never heard of "Final Cut", the consumer alternative to Final Cut Pro
What makes it suspicious to me is that they claim they just got this reply back from their "source". He talks about the Foveon X3 chip which "won't be announced until I believe the 11th..." Well it was indeed announced on Feb.11 - so why is he talki
ng about it in the future tense? If this just arrived today (Feb. 25th) shouldn't he be referring to it as "was announced on the 11th?"

Schiller `announced' it, as you said, which is vastly different to its
being released (`being held back'). Hasn't Apple held back the release of
QT6 over per-stream MPEG-4 licencing costs?

I saw it in a CNet video durring CES... wow this thing can hide behind a business card... sure the video is not 500 lines, and it's only 640x480 pics, but I've got an SLR for "real" photos.
I found the video..

If that does not work, go here first

I wanted one too, until I played around with it. Really cheaply made and the button/control configurations are poorly layed-out. Ive got tiny oriental fingers and hands, so it wasnT so bad, but good luck if youVe got average-sized northAmerican sized digits.
[on an off-topic: I saw Bill Gates at the Tokyo launch of XBox last week- the bastard wore black-turtle neck and jeans!....Jap-version of XBox comes with smaller controllers and an optional limited edition XBox unit]

I'm a huge origami hobbyest and so I'm used to using my "average-sized north American sized digits"
Holy buckets! Should the grammar and spelling mistakes be taken into account when deciding the validity of a news/rumor site or news item?

Hmm for some reason it doesn´t work on macs (and it isn´t even an Apple program). I bought the cd in my local PC/Stereo store but when I pop it in my CD drive its like there isn´t any programs on it only "track01.cdda" etc and it doesn´t come with any documentation.
I tried to contact the software company Pink Floyd but it doesn´t exist anymore.
Any suggestions?

That's what I meant - Schiller announced that it was ready but being held back (due to the MPEG-4 licensing, yes) on the 12th. Sorry for the confusion. My point was that this "source" seemed to know about Schiller's announcement on the 12th, but was still talking about the 11th in the future tense (while it was supposedly written on the 25th). It just doesn't make any sense as written - which strongly suggests to me that it is a phony.

hey buddy!.... final cut is not an apple product... add the pro, and that's apple. there might be a "final cut" program somewhere, but for all i know, apple has always had "final cut pro."
