LIFX on Tuesday announced the Beam Kit, a new HomeKit-ready lighting package that adds multicolored accents to walls.

The bundle includes six separate Beams, a corner piece, and a power pack. Using the LIFX iOS app, Apple Home, or Siri, lights can be brightened or dimmed, and cycled through 16 million colors. Apps are also available for Android and Windows.

Each individual Beam is 11.8 inches long, and has 10 blended light zones. Owners can rearrange them into different patterns to suit room dimensions or any items they're trying to highlight, such as a TV or couch.

Beyond HomeKit, the Beam system also integrates with IFTTT applets, Amazon Alexa, and Google Assistant.

LIFX only recently introduced HomeKit to its more conventional smartbulb lineup. On Sept. 27 it unveiled another wall lighting system, the Tile Kit.

The LIFX Beam Kit will ship in November, with different plug types for the U.S., Canada, and the rest of the globe. Preorders begin today for $199.99.

That's just the length of one of the Beams, to be clear. The kit includes six.
