    So the next version will introduce more bugs as they scramble to release these new [missing] features...

    Annual major revisions is a nightmare.

    I'm not going to be updating past 10.x until iOS 11 is considered old. I won't be replacing my El Capitan volume with Sierra, let alone the seemingly bug-ridden High Sierra on my iMac until High Sierra is considered old (if there's still an installer available by then!), if I even bother upgrading at all, because I'm not actually using that boot volume for anything but iOS 10.x device backups (I'm still using Snow Leopard for music creation).
