Problems with the Apple Mail app in MacOS

I am still having problems with sending email using suddenlink.net. who is my internet provider.  I can receive the mail but having a password problem with using a MacPro.  The iPad send an email this morning with no problems but using Mail and  this MacPro, I get a password not correct error.  This has been an intermitant problem for several weeks.  The Apple mail app and suddenlink.net do not get along.

    Have you been in touch with your ISP about this?  Also, when I went to suddenlink.net, it looks like one can also use that site for sending and receiving EMails, just like gmail.com and hotmail.com.  Have you tried using your browser to go to that site and send EMails?

    I use Outlook 2016 as my EMail client, but I do not have any "internet" EMail providers (like gmail and hotmail) configured with Outlook.  Only have my ISP, Comcast, and my two EMail addresses with them set up in Outlook.
