The forums are great compared to AI - AI has sucked for a long time ... two things top the list 1. content - there ain't any 2. too large of an ad section - its half the screen and no one has a reason to use them because there is no content on that page.
Makes you wonder if anyone actually works here - my answer is no.
Oh and if you don't hear from me again - it's cause someone *cough*nick*cough* threatened to ban me when I said AI sucked over IM to him earlier this week.
And just to keep the record straight - yes there was much frustration and name calling it was a rather immature act on both sides but the threat of banning was kinda funny - I hardly come here anymore ... why? Well cause it does suck, the message board is nice, but AI itself as a whole is crap now ... sigh.
Bogie, most people come to AI now for the forums -- for a long time the forums have defined the AI experience. We are currently re-evaluating the entire 'situation' and you'll likely see changes in the very near future.
Personally attacking me because MacNN resources were placed elsewhere (for the better) won't help the situation.
If you have any criticism for the AppleInsider forums please post away. As for the rest of AppleInsider, you'll just have to wait and see. Sorry.

On the note of the personal attack, I made no claim here that it was your fault Nick, I have my own thoughts on that, but I made no attack here.
Fact is you threatened to ban me because we had a private dispute, no matter what the dispute was over it was just as unprofessional and poor taste as your last post in this thread was well thought out. I don't want to argue over that situation here or anywhere else, I just noted it because I thought it was funny and that you might do it.
"The near future" seems to be a moving target when talking about AI. People came hear because it had good people, good news, and good forums. Now people come and go [many good people remain], the news is gone, and the forums, well they haven't really changed or improved.
